Inzi was a fat loafing slow mutha, yet even he managed to average 50.

Laxman played some phenomenal knocks, generally against Aussies, and showed up against the best team of his era (Aussie team of 2000s) but he was highly inconsistent and didn't do his talent justice against other teams. I would deem him as a good player in the same category as Ganguly but can't really call him a great.

I dont suppose its just the averages you can look at, the impact a player has on game goes beyond the averages...stat wise KP and Younis Khan i think 'should' have a better rapport than Laxman

I am not defending anyone. Just having a go at the pathetic subcontinent teams. :winky: Ponting is of course a certified great, and the third greatest batsman ever to have played for Australia.

In same category as ganguly :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:,He was one of the most consistent batsman for india in 2007-2011 ,Yes he has a bad year but people have such terrible memories,He won us matches in eng,sa,aus and on turning tracks in india,sr he is a very very very good batsman add he is so good to watch.

Hussey is the 2nd greatest. Had he got his opportunity at 18, he would have scored 15K runs as well.
