Was Sehwag dropped today?

He's won us a world cup and countless games with this conduct.
He sucked at that World Cup pretty much barring that 35 in the final. It was a decent contribution but hardly match-winning. Otherwise he crossed 50 on only two occasions out of 9. That's for a world-cup winning performance. You can say Yuvraj won us a world cup, but Kohli? And he behaved better there.

if robin uthappa gets freedom like sehwag...he will win 3 out of 5 matches unlike sehwag who plays well after 10 matches..
Robin can't even score against Central Zone bowlers, and he'll score against these phaaast bowlers?

he makes quickfire fifties which are ok for shorter formats...
Those quickfire fifties in flat wickets against non-descriptive 120K bowlers will translate to 15 and 20 in an international match. Or even less. I like Uthappa too, the problem is he doesn't really seem to take his game seriously. Scoring in IPL will not give him an ODI berth, and he has to score heavily in domestic matches to be in the reckoning. The one-day domestic season has not yet started, so I don't see how he can get an opportunity anywhere if he does not score in FC games.

Ah okay. Yes, he did well there. Batting wise too. Was the No.3 batsman (No.2 for India) in the tournament in terms of runs. (No.2 was Kieren Powell) Iqbal Abdullah and Ravi Jadeja :hehe: were India's highest wicket takers. Highest wicket takers of the tournament were Parnell and Southee.

please dont play sehwag, he will be a walking wicket, i just cant see him scoring runs on these kind of pitches, 1 bouncer at chest nd he`s a goner , harris, starc will get him day in day out, india needs technically better players at opening who can play out the deliveries nd play a long innings, sehwag looks like he`ll get out within 5 overs, i`ll stick to sachin nd gambo
