We should try and have a fresh team, and give some of the tired people some rest: a) Gambhir b) Tiwary c) Virat d) Rohit e) Raina f) Jadeja g) Dhoni h) Rahul i) Ashwin j) Dinda i) VK
let rahane open ? tiwary in middle order .. btw raina today looked in good touch im sure he will make some runs in cb series.

I am super-pissed with Raina. He just doesn't seem to put a value to his wicket. He's playing his cricket the way I play cricket on my mobile. I am not convinced with Rahane's form. He's done SHYTE in his last 10 competitive matches and is getting rusty sitting on the benches. He needs to play some tournaments to get back in form otherwise he'll again have some failures and will be soon discarded. Bad for his confidence in a longer term. I don't see why Tiwary can't open in the subcontinent. Rahane is also not an opener in domestic cricket.

ah ok.. but i think he is def one who will come inside our side in future pretty solid player thing i like about him is outside off stump his game is very tidy unlike rohit so he iwll never struggle in australia or england.(our 2 biggest weakness) we all saw rohit's problem today again didn't we in sub continent he will always score another lady jaya in making if he does not work on it!?!

Pretty much same squad should be picked, maybe Zak will be rested after such a long aus tour and Aaron might replace him. Also if Sachin opts out, Rahane can come in.
Haha.... probably the only player ever to have played cricket who gets to select himself, rest himself and drop himself whenever he so pleases!!! Anyways on a serious note, I hope u guys rest Virat, only than the chances for bangladesh to win might increase to 10% from 0 percent otherwise....

..Cos Sachin is still our best batsman and cant play every match! I agree bring Bhaji in for Ashwin and Irfan should be there along with Rahane, Tiwary, Aaron, Nechim, Dhinda, and Yusef Pathan. Drop VK, rest Zak+Gambhir+Dhoni and make VIRAT captain.

sachin proved again today that he is one of our best batsman.. hope he keeps on playing.. and help us qualify for finals.. this is good odi team my complains are with tests where there is no youngster in line up other then kohli this is properly balanced (with either gambhir or sehwag being rotated)

in seriousness i would pick tendulkar sehwag gambhir kohli rohit dhoni jaddu ashwin aaron umesh zaheer even though sehwag and gauti are in crap form, they will become batting gods back on these patta wickets. backups raina tiwary rahul sharma pathan

Well I would agree with you if Ire/Hol were part of ASIA. They are not so that's out of the question. But the likes of Afganistan, Hong Kong, etc should be allowed to play. Imagine if bangladesh was still their old self (atleast these days they do go out with a fight) can you imagine how boring the asia cup would have been? it would have been another CB type of series where there would be pakistan instead of Aus. Seriously this is one way to expand the game of cricket world wide!!

what a stupid comment? if you had teams from Europe what would be the point of an Asian cup, isnt that what we call the WC? And if Ireland were to win would that make them the best team in "Asia"!

On second thoughts, the team may be: Murali Vijay (instead of Sehwag) Abhinav Mukund (instead of Gambo) Suresh Raina S Badrinath (instead of Virat) MS Dhoni Ravinder Jadeja Wriddhiman Saha (wk) R Ashwin Joginder Sharma (instead of PK) Sudeep Tyagi (instead of Zak) Yo Mahesh (instead of Umesh) Will make the Board President, Chief Selector and Captain very happy. :giggle:
