Mera knowledge RIT Jamshedpur (where I did my Engineering) jaake kaafi improve hua. Vocabulary mein chaar chaand lag gaye. Seniors ki kaafib meherbaani thi. Now I know the whole wide world hates ragging, and rightfully so, magar I had some awesome experience in there. And I maintain that to a point, if done right, ragging does enhance the personality in some ways. So ragging ka ek kissa sunein. RIT mein ragging kas ke hoti hai. For first few months the guys have to always wear full shirts, and buttoned up all the way to the collar. So imagine me walking to my class like that and ek senior ne rok liya. Aage this is how it went. Abbe idhar aa. Ji boss. Kya naam hai? ...... Hmmm..Kaun college se aaya hai. Patna Science College. Hmmm..School? Nazareth Academy, Gaya. Abbe English medium se aaya hai? Jee boss. Accha tab to English aati hogi acche se? Aati hai boss. Chal 69 ka matlab bata. 69 boss? Maane unhatar? 70 ke pahle waala. Abbe nahin chewtiye..69 saale. ..... accha sun wo madam (senior gal of his class) hain na unko jaa ke bol ke boss 69 ke liye request kar rahe hain. Jee boss. And so I proceed to the Maam. Excuse me Maam. haan. Wo boss hai na, woh 69 ke liye request kar rahe hain. She looks me up and down. trying hard not to laugh, or slap who knows. Haan theek hai. Boss ko bolo ke maam ne request approve kar di hai, tum dono ke 69 ke liye. And I run back to my boss. Boss, maam ne approve kar diya hai 69 for me and you. Saale! Bh***dike tere saath 69! Its a flimsy excuse to bring out one's sadistic instincts under the guise of "toughening up". [EDIT : the worst were the guys (and gals) from Delhi and UP. Bihari guys were pretty cool and friendly, not to mention that they always topped] I was ragged terribly but myself have never ragged anybody. Gurudev, aapke paapi pair kis college/school ko kalankit kar gaye?? :cheer: I do agree that ragging can be an excuse to let one's sadistic instinct take over. And yes I was ragged but didnt rag myself, although I did send out some majnus with their Lailas on date :cheer:
