Do you think Zaheer Khan is the Best Left Arm Fast Bowler in the world?

I guess, but more because there are hardly any other prominent left arm seamers around and less because of Zak's individual brilliance. Johnson isnt bowling (and is terribly inconsistent anyways) and others are still finding their feet in International cricket. Starc is a promising prospect

am i the only one who thinks zack gets fitter after playing? if he keeps on playing i wont be surprised if he plays in south africa series.. he is fit enough for that now we need him to guide some one raw like umesh ishant was lost cause bowlers like sreesanth did improve with his guidance (only for 1-2 matches though :P )

Not really. He's only good when he bowls in INDIA. Nathan Bracken is the only left arm fast bowler that can consistently take wickets anywhere in the world.

Zaks last 4 years have been prolific I see his career and bowling on the wane, especially has he has dropped his pace by 5 k's, if he bowled at around 138 which was his normal pace to low 140's he is lethal. He might be the best left hander by default , I see Staarc as his successor, among Indians maybe Suyal, Anwar Ahmed two promising left handers.I was surprised to not see Ahmed play in Duleep trophy as Suyal is injured we might get to see them in IPL.

Zaheer Khan is the best left-arm pace bowler in the world atm. Starc and Mohammad Amir (if and when he comes back) have the potential to overtake him. But right now Zaheer sits at the top of the list ... and its not a great list either ... who else is there ... Johnson, Bollinger, Wahab Riaz, Tsotsobe are the only other real contenders tbh. Zaheer is a league above all of those, but he is a league below the greats like Wasim Akram because of his lack of consistency and fitness over the years.

How many tests Bracken has played?

yes but it is more because of lack of left arm seamers now a days than zaheer's individua ability tbh. no offence though he is a good bowler and improved a lot from his early days though he lost lot of pace.
Syed Rasel ftw.

what about Starc???
potentially good but has lot to learn.. how will he bowl in less friendly conditions how will he bowl to good players who are in form since he is new,,maybe after a while he might lose his effectiveness some times batsmen work u out but yes he is potentially better then johnson and can surpass zaheer too but he needs to learn reverse swing to be successful here in india and ability to over smart batsmen but he has natural pace and swing.. austrlaia should hope that he comes good!

Zak is one of the best bowlers I have seen for setting up batsmen. The way Zak targets and sets up a batsman is amazing to watch. Hope he manages to remain uninjured over the next 3-4 years and doesn't have any fitness issues
