Is Misbah a anti-Dhoni?

If Afridi stays at wicket then you guys will never loose game Thats the aura, Lala brings. Now I agree to the extent that he hasnt done justice to his potential. But apart from selected few, historically Pakistani batting isnt all that glorious. Someday He hopefully, will redeem himself with a odi world cup (allready T20 in his bag). But dont kill the beast because others are failing. If you got few decent batters on his side he will become lethal. Till then nurse him.

There are so many instances when India was top in chasing both in ODIs and in tests that some of the wins were because of the likes of Ishan Sharma and Zaheer keepign their cool. From Laxman's innings to Sachin's there were so many crucial partnership. If Pakistan had kept wickets in hands' date=' they would have won easily in all of the matches you mentioned. and the senior most player Afridi percipitated the collapse most of the time[/quote'] Whenever number 7 batsman is out you know game is gone unless you got Likes of Dhoni, Raina on the other end who themselves will hit fours and sixes and not rely on number 7,8,9 to accelerate the run rate. Afridi was clearly aware that onus was on him to score quickly. Miss Bah or any other batsmen will never make it.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Going by that logic India would never lose any game as long as Yusuf Pathan remain unbeaten. In fact chances are any chasing team will not lose as long as a batsman remains unbeaten till the end, but the hard part is remaining unbeaten till the end and taking the team through a la Dhoni :hatsoff:

Afridi is like buying insurance, you feel at peace and calm, but you know when the moment comes to claim the insurance company will never pay up. That's Afridi= car or house insurance. False illusion of calmness for us.

The way Dhoni's stay on the crease till the very end ensures a win for India, Misbah's stay till the very end means a loss for Pakistan. It happens with amzing regularity. Hat's off to Misbah.
