ganeshran Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That is not Sehwag's fault. Sehwag did well to bring him up early in 6th over but if a bowler does not respond and went for runs' date=' it does not change the fact that Dhoni's handling was poor. His bowling with newer ball was necessary because he swung the white new ball considerably in India against WI, but here hot conditions did not help swing the ball much.[/quote'] You blamed Yadav's poor figures on how the captain handled him, not his own mistakes. Now with the improved handling, he returned even worse figures. How did Dhoni's handling impact his spell in the last match then?
asterix Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 IMO Yaddu needs to work hard more... I would also say he does needs help from bowling coach & captain. You can't leave him alone to fend for himself.
rkt.india Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 If the figures for the two bowlers had been reversed' date=' you and the rest of the phaasht baller gang would be first ones hyping up Yadav and dissing dhoni for sticking with Vinay Kumar.[/quote'] Bro I dont talk just to talk. I praised Vinay on many occasions whenever he did well. He did not do well in last 2 matches and still I have not complained. It is a game, you see good and bad days but since he is putting effort and not bowling lazily like Perth test, I am quite pleased to see him bowl and do well. Same with Yadav, He was not played at MCG and Perth where he had the maximum possibility to do well and I knew that he wont do much at Adelaide and he did better than I expected in first ODI at Adelaide, but Gabba proved even flatter track than Adelaide. Though he was not given new ball in the last that is why I said the tactic was wrong and he could have got more purchase with new ball, but it was not the case as it was evident in this game, so I said it his fault not captains that did not bowl well enough to leave any impact. My all arguments were based on the WI ODIs where he got some unplayable outswing with the new ball and got crucial wickets up front. I have no problem whoever plays in place of Yadav if that guy can do better than Yadav, but if not that I would play Yadav and let him get some more experience as he may play a big role in 2015 WC here. But still I cannot say that Dhoni's tactics to bring him in 15th or 23rd over were right. If Dhoni did not want him to bowl up front, do not play him then.
bajrang Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Ya phaasht boller bolled so well to pick up wickets at 68 ... trundler saala hasnt done jack in the tourney so far --just picked up 9 wickets so far :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: very clever !!cropped it only to prove ur point. hypocrisy much. Rayn harris is also there, below yadav with 64 avrage (2 wicket,3 matches). ryan hariss has career average of 18.34 BTW. if guy of that quality can avrage that much here why cant umesh. umesh aint bowling at out of form indian batsmen.
