Magneto Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Why people calling uthappa as flatappa when he did well outside subcontinent in limited chances he got unlike other flat track bullies like raina' date='sehwag, rohit sharma..[/quote'] For poetic reasons. Because 'Uth' rhymes somewhat with 'Flat'. Sounds nice. It will sound a little strange if you call him Bounceappa, Hardappa or Dustappa, no?
skindia Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 today run out on 10 on good batting pitch:((
Magneto Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 today run out on 10 on good batting pitch:(( Don't worry. His competitor Sehwag did much worse.

bajrang Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 crap batsman, even yosuf is better then him. good at bashing average domestic bowlers. totally clueless against good bowlers.
skindia Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 his average as opener 34 strike rate 103 under dravid captaincy when he got fixed role...yusuf failing against domestic bowlers also..
skindia Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 yusuf cant even manage runs in challenger trophy ..forget about 4 day matches..atleast robin performs average in 4 day matches
Number Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sehwag should play All-rounder role , batting at no 7 and Uthappa should be opener.
GautiMaan Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Definitely one guy who deserved a chance in the asia cup.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I think we should move this to the IPL section. Difficult to 'watch' Uthappa since he stays on the wicket only for a few balls. :hysterical:
SLICKR392 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Definitely one guy who deserved a chance in the asia cup. What makes you think so?
GautiMaan Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 What makes you think so? His performances in the Vijay Hazare trophy have been impressive,he can keep, can be used as a floater and can hit the big shots like Yusuf.Daylights ahead of the likes of parthiv patel
CG Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 One of our batsman who did decent on pitches with bounce and pace abroad.Guy has talent needs to be given chance.
adi B Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 utthappa ko koi bolo, apne left leg ko hadh se jyaada aage na kare while taking a stride, makes him a good candidate for leg b4 nd make it difficult to then rock back on the back foot
skindia Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 utthappa ko koi bolo' date=' apne left leg ko hadh se jyaada aage na kare while taking a stride, makes him a good candidate for leg b4 nd make it difficult to then rock back on the back foot[/quote'] his technique is similar to pietersen...only difference is he stays in crease initially..
