Preferably from your own experiences/thinking in childhood. Let me start with one, - How can one die/get-hurt, when run over by a truck/bus/car - tyres are made from rubber only????

I watched a lot of horror movies as a kid, lot of dubbed english ones (think evil dead, omen series)...then I thought to myself that since I couldn't speak english that well(when I was 10), I wouldn't be able to converse with him if he comes to haunt me. .. I was very stressed about that situation

i dont know what logic i used - but as a kid i used to think that if you swallow the seed of a fruit' date=' that tree will grow in your stomach :D[/quote'] and in adulthood... the logic is that if you swallow the seed, a baby grows in the stomach. :cantstop:

When in bed, i used to think there's a ghost somewhere near me, and so I fully covered myself with the blanket and thought that the ghost moved away after seeing there is nobody here. :D

Here are a few: -In the States we call it a Traffic Jam, but I was 2 yrs old I think and to me it made sense that I could call it a Traffic Jelly since Jam/Jelly are basically the same thing. We were stuck and I told my mom "We're in an awful traffic jelly aren't we?" She died laughing...still tells the story. -My brother called firecrackers firecookies. -I cried for hours and was truly frightened by my dad after I overheard him tell my mom that he had "fired" someone. I took it literally and had to ask my mom later if my dad really had set someone on fire. I felt much better after I knew that it only meant losing your job.

Two more: a) Once we visited some of neighbors, and I watched "Giant Robot" at their place. As soon as I reached home, I asked parents to turn on the TV immediately, saying - "abhi hmarey TV pe aana baaki hai".. I used to imagine that content is buffered somewhere in the cable leading from Antenna to TV. So, effectively, I 'invented' the concept of 'buffering' before I learnt it years later ;). b) I was playing chess with my 7 y.o nephew. I do not like to give easy wins to kids, so I beat him 4-5 games in a row - ruthlessly. Nephew - I wont play with you anymore, you always beat me. Me (philosophy mode) - Don't be afraid of losses. If you want to improve, you should always play with better players....btw, who is the best chess player in your class/circle? Nephew - Why would/should he play with me? (How will he improve?) Me - :insert any pwn face:

- I doggedly questioning everyone around me including my teachers about the colour of electricity that is running through the wires. "No Colour" is ofcourse nonsense as everything has a colour. - Vehicles move forward as a result of the force with which the smoke is expelled from the exhaust pipe (like the balloon that is untied and released) - heated debate with my science teacher on why does the textbook say other planets can't support life just because they have no oxygen and water. (why can't there be new life that is non-water and non-oxygen based)

:nice: A related one. When I first learnt concept of "heating a closed space leads to building of pressure". I had a eureka moment, [inspired by some DD serials] ,and asked my classmate - "You know why they keep fire burning under the cannons?" He - "why". Me - "to build up the pressure and when there is sufficient of it, the cannon-ball shoots off."
