My cheating XI :- Gilly (walking selectively and then claiming blatant non-edges) Dilshan Ponting © Clarke Jayawardene Sangakkara Imran "Bottlecap" Khan Wasim Akhtar Afridi Lillee 12th Man Javed "The Monkey" Miandad This team would virtually be unbeatable considering the umpires will be Steve Bucknor and Billy Bowden  No need for 3rd umpire as Ponting can fill the role admirably

How did Hussey cheat? If anything, what he did was disappointing for someone who plays cricket at the highest level. It was rank amateurish for him to stick his hand out like that and stupid on part of umpires not to give him out. But he didnt cheat

^ Not to mention Gilly
Gilly was a hypocrite choosing when he would walk but going up for clear not outs. Pls watch Draavid's dismissal in Sudney test where Dravid was given caught behind when his bat was nowhere near the ball but it didn't stop Gilly from going up. Hypocrite if ever there was one!

So appealing for that catch made him a cheater?? So what about Indian batsmen, there were many instances when they knew they have edged the ball but didn't walk, why not put them in the list as well and our bowlers who appealed for LBW when the ball didn't even hit the pad. Include them as well.

Include them as well.[/quote'] Indian batsmen didn't walk selectively. They mostly didn't walk and didn't come across as "holier than thou". Gilly walked and then went up for clear not outs on the field. To me the whole "walking" charade was an act to get more favorable decisions from umpires who would go "hmmm, Gilly the walker is appealing. Must be close/out". IMO either you play by the same rules or you don't. Gilly defo didn't by having one set of rules by walking selectively and then throwing the same rule book out when out on the field.

He walked off in World cup semi final. Where else was he expecting favorable decisions to come his way?? In a test match against bangladesh??

^^ add to that the captain cool claiming a bump catch in last Oz tour n course sachin walking out vs Wi in Wc but stayed in the crease in an Ipl match vs Csk. Well there are lot more instances, what this thread means is everyone playing for India were saints. Isn't it?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/3017237/Tendulkar-handed-one-match-ban.html SACHIN TENDULKAR has received a suspended one-match ban after being found guilty of ball tampering, match referee Mike Denness has confirmed. The record-breaking batsman is one of six Indian players, including captain Sourav Ganguly, who have been rapped for their conduct during the on-going second Test against South Africa in Port Elizabeth. Denness, who found Tendulkar guilty after viewing video tapes of Sunday's play, said: "By acting on the match ball, Tendulkar brought the game into disrepute and has been fined 75% of his match fee, plus a one-Test match ban. "The ban will be suspended until the last day of December 2001." Ganguly, who will lead his side in the forthcoming home series against England, received a ban of one Test and two one-day internationals, suspended until February, for not controlling his players on the field. Virender Sehwag was banned for one game and will miss the last Test in the three-match series in Pretoria after he was found guilty of "showing dissent at the umpire's decision and attempting to intimidate the umpire by charging". He was also fined 75% of his match fee. Opening batsman Shiv Sunder Das, wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta and spinner Harbhajan Singh all received one-Test bans, suspended until February, and were fined 75% of their match fee for excessive appealing. The incidents could not have come at a worse time for an Indian side which lost the first Test in Bloemfontein last week. They went into today's final day still 366 runs behind South Africa with nine wickets left in their second innings. :icflove:
