Jaya takes another dig at India!

SL are just unbelievable, so full of **** cos they know they will be losing on Friday and have to go home Jaya comes up with excuses already... ""Going in to the last game it's in our control, what we need to do," Jayawardene said. "It's a good position for us to be, rather than depending on someone else to do some favours for us. "From where we started on this tour, I think we've improved as a team and maintained a consistency. That's very important for us going forward. Whatever happens tomorrow we will definitely get a lot of positives out of this. Our challenge will be to try and keep this consistency going, because if we play the way we're playing now ... we'll win more matches than we lose. We're quite happy with that." http://www.espncricinfo.com/commonwealth-bank-series-2012/content/current/story/555838.html

I don't get it... There's not much in that. It's just a cliché saying - their fate is in their own hands. It's a much better situation than sweating over the result of a game you have no control over.

No but with his track record he is implying that even if they lose they will have done better than India who are just relying on luck....trust me lol

That is true, it took an absolute monster of an innings for us to even sit and twiddle our thumbs waiting for the result of another match. Srilanka were more consistent..they've beaten homeboys Australia convincingly before. It would be a 92 Pakistan-esque proportion of luck for us to win the series now.

WHat he said is simple. His team's chances of reaching the finals is totally dependant on how they perform in the next game. Thats it. There is no dig whatsoever on India. Read properly.

Probably reading too much into it. Unless Australia in the normal run of the course would have prepared to lose to SL, but now as a favour, they are going to have to go out and beat them.

:hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: This is exactly what I meant by holier than thou attitude of Lankans in my "Height of Irony" thread :contstop: These lankans are phucking lowlives and sc*m. They are India's bi@tch and get owned when t matters by India and in their frustration resort to the only thing they are good at - flapping their mouth :haha:

How on earth was SL more consistent if both teams are sitting on same number of points ?
It depends how you look at it .bowling wise last games was one off game for them ,but batting wise they are far more consistent than us in this series .

Yes, but Indians get to do 5 days of shopping while waiting for the final, while Sri Lanka have to practise in the nets. Who is the loser now Jaya?

It depends how you look at it .bowling wise last games was one off game for them ' date='but batting wise they are far more consistent than us in this series .[/quote'] Coz they didn't have to chase under lights everytime. Let's not forget that chasing under lights at Gabba was much tougher than batting 1st. If we had won those 2 tosses and batted 1st I can guarantees we would have won at least one of those matches if not both. We actually chased in all the 8 games under light and are still on the same points as SL. To me it shows how good we are coz if the situation were reversed and had we batted 1st everytime we probably would be leading the table now.
