King Tendulkar Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 This is very close call. I feel gangs and laxman are running to the end of their careers and poosibly should be axed. They not scoring big runs and are awful fielders and runners btwn wickets. I personally would drop and retire ganguly for next test and play Yuvraj. IMO his time has come. Although I guarantee this will not happen and same team will be picked for next test!
Donny Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 You could well be right but my answer is most certainly yes.
THX_1138 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 absolutely. he is a lightning rod for action and spirit. he deserves a spot at the expense of the frail such as ganguly and vvs.
apocalypse Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Comparing the batting of Laxman and Ganguly, I would replace Ganguly. He was never playing with ease unlike Laxman.
yoda Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 no, he is pretty useless in tests. i would rather play rao or raina instead of yuvraj. in terms of replacing the current lot, i would dump ganguly before laxman and i can't believe that ganguly is batting ahead of laxman.
King Tendulkar Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Ganguly should never have been reselected. Big mistake
Predator_05 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Yes. Drop Tendulkar and play the Golden Boy in his place. Works for me.
Holysmoke Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Ganguly should never have been reselected. Big mistakeYes. Yuvraj for Ganguly.
gs Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Drop any one among SRT, SCG and VVS, and put in Yuvraj in for the 2nd test. If he doesnt perform, drop Yuvraj and go back to the crappy three for the 3rd test.
talksport Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Yuvraj or any other batsmen like Rao in place of Ganguly ...after giving the man a good farewell works for me.... But the other day before Lords Test Ganguly hinted that he wants play for two years and yuvraj can play the next ten years.....
living Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 People wanting to replace SRT with Yuvi - you're all crazy
Gambit Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 People wanting to replace SRT with Yuvi - you're all crazy Yeah, you are right. Yuvi will find it difficult to make more than 53 runs in a test.
gator Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Yuvraj is unlucky... but there is no place in the batting lineup... if there is, Sehwag should be brought in....
