Cricket Tragic Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I remember reading an interview in a magazine back in 2005 (might have been after Ab scored 2 hundreds vs WI as an opener) and he said that him aim was to become the "best batsman on the planet". Over the past 2 years or so, he has taken his game to another level and is arguably the best batsman across formats in the world. In a world with plodders like Trott, it's refreshing to see someone bat with so much of flair. The guy is a complete natural - both with the bat and on the field. Test average pushing 50 (even with an avg home record) and a ridiculous ODI record (with an insane inn/hundred ratio). If he tightens his game a bit against the moving ball, he'll become a complete player. Hoping to see Ab at his best in the next few years.

Yeah, overall he isn't a great test player yet but I hope he gets there.

Best ODI player in the world, without a question. I am guessing his current ODI record is even better than Sachin's at the same stage. That series he had in Australia a few years ago really gave him the belief that he was the best batsman in his side.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Brilliant player. A treat to watch when in form. One of the best ODI batsmen of his era and on track to being an all time great in that format. In Tests he needs to improve a little more.

He was born a sportsman : rugby, tennis, golf, cricket you name it and AB can do it. All he needs is a ball in hand.
