Praise Aaron and Umesh as much as you ant, but why do you to discredit someone else' achivement by saying aah he got lucky and got wickets? At times, reading some of those posts, I get a feeling as if guys like VK are picking those wickets for our opponents and not for India.

I am not discrediting anyone. Did I say anything about VK or Irfan? Read my comment on Irfan in another thread. I am liking him right now. They way he is putting effort. Same with VK. I have no complains from him as well and would like to see him improve and bowl well.

Among the medium pacers --- Irfan is bowling well. He can bat too. I want him in the team. PK is never a good bowler when the ball is not swinging and I want him out of the team in non-swinging conditions.. VK is a wait and watch.

chor ki daadhi mein tinka? My post was not aimed at you but some other posters.
Because you post it just beside my post and no tinka here:winky: Because I dont care much who plays in ODIs, but in tests I do not want PK, VK, and IP at least.

Not hiding. Laughing at you guys. Read my earlier post in this thread' date=' I said I think we will win, that was at beginning of chase. Does this change my opinion on these bowlers? They are still gutter level seamers.[/quote'] Bilkul sharam nahi, look at the gutter level Vinays record and then that lowly chimps record in ODIs. He also won us the match with the double strike, strong denial to your original post. His (or It's?) career economy rate is over 6, so going for 55 runs in a game would be a great achievement for him

I am surprised no one has mentioned Ishant Sharma, He shld be in for Mr. Vinay "Kumble Academy" Bimar ! Honestly, we shld bring in Dinda and Yousuf for Vinay & Jadega, but no, Dhoni Likes Blowjobs !

We won because of batting and Ashwin double strike. Until then, the Lankans had the game under control. You clearly see things in black and white rather than analyse deeper. Otherwise you would realise at most VK is a 3rd seamer, it wasn't genuine good death bowling as much as SL panicking and also bowling to tailenders. How does this compare to an on song Nehra death bowling against top order batsmen or recently Aaron in the death overs v england? VK will get slaughtered in a pressure situation more often than not. VK only has one job which is to bowl tight and he fails even at that. It is too much to ask him to take wickets up front and bowl well at death, that will never happen on a regular level. Only one ofr VK, PK and Irfan should play as a specialist bowler. Since Irfan is bowling best, should be him. Drop the other two ideally.

The combination is so wrong, you can only afford one of irfan and pk and with irfan having shown the x factor during his best days has to be first.Pk serviceable under certain conditions. in england we saw the problem. even if pk moved the ball during the first 7 overs, gradually england was getting on top over the next 40. no target seemed impossible for england. even when vinay took few wickets vs australia initiaslly, eventually australia, especially david hussey got on top. the likes of gavaskar have been highly myopic with their thinking and it looks someone is imp-lmenting this thinking in the team just on basis of "moving the ball".

Rahul Sharma really deserves a run. He is very raw but learning quick.
This is an ideal time to bring Rahul Sharma in. He is mature enough to play in ODIs and T20s and he has played enough domestic cricket. He is already 25-26, so this is the time otherwise it will be too late for him. You are also denying him to play in domestic cricket by keeping him in the national team for about 2 months now.

All we can do to win game is just ensure that asking rate climbs. Eventually wickets will fall. Yeah problem is these guys are very limited. At most can bowl a few tidy overs and build pressure. Can't afford to have too many of these kind of bowlers in the team even in LOI.
You hit the nail on the head. This is the best our bowlers can do, they can go defensive and then create a bit of pressure by bringing down run-rate and then pick a wicket or two here and there.] But, still I think, if Irfan can get back to his best in bowling, he can be a very very useful player for us as an all-rounder in any condition. Apart from Sree, we have also not made the best use of Irfan

Bring back munaf-patel300.jpg Atleast guy can keep the runs down .
I hate watching him. He is pathetic how he moves in the field.:mad: And also, if you pick him now at the misfortune of some other bowler, you will be sending a complete wrong signal. I mean, we usually do like this, we keep going back to Munaf at the injury and misfortune or failure of our other bowlers. This sends a wrong signal to Munaf as well and he takes his place very lightly. Well, to be honest, he might be just a decent bowler but I never see the hunger in his eyes to play for country. He seems like a guy, who is just happy with whatever he has achieved so far and happy earning a bit from IPL. And he don't care about playing for country anymore. If he is given chance in national team once again, he will be ok and doing his job routine in a routine way only. But, he is not dying to get into the Indian team. He has no hunger and life left.

I think he was dropped not because of form but injury ,if you are going to give guys like pk who average 36 and vk who average 33,might as well give munaf a chance

Yeah Irfan has looked ok and might be a bit rusty as he has not played international in a while. He is looking to fight and his pace is up to his old self with a bit of swing. So it shows he is feeling good. We could have him at no7, that would be ideal. As Yusuf's bowling is not too good and his batting is hit and miss outside sc. I still want to see Yusuf at 7 for now and Irfan at 8. That is a good batting lineup! I actually like Irfan's batting more, his technique is more suited for all conditions as he can milk the bowlers or hit out.

I still think we will win but this attack has no future tbh.
This is'nt our long run attack. Our real attack comprises(1st string) Yadav, Aaron, Zaks, Rahul Sharma, Ashwin and then Irfan, if he gets his act together he too makes the list. This if you ask me is more than formidable. 2nd String- With so many out and out wicket taking bowlers you need that bowler who has control and most importantly intelligence to adapt to any situation and limit the flow of runs. If Sreesanth can adapt and be that player then power to him. Otherwise in our second string lineup VK and PK will always take precedence over Sreesanth.

His batting is hit and miss type even in the sub-continent. I mean, may be he has now improved his batting a bit but I don't think so coz last time I saw of him, he was still an incomplete international player. He always say that he don't want to change his game, but I think someone has to tell him that he don't need 2 change his game, actually he needs to improve his game. His game is very mediocre and very very limited to a few shots. His bowling is also very predictable and don't have much variety. So, he needs to improve his overall game.
