ViruRulez Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I seriously mean it. After the England and Australia debacles, we had reduced from being the supposedly top team on paper to becoming just another mediocre team. And now, this defeat against a minnow like Bangladesh. Have we reached shambolic depths in our cricket at least for the past decade. I do not remember being at a worse situation since the Ganguly era. At least not two successive series whitewashes and then losing against a minnow. It is time to rebuild the team completely as we cannot go below any further. Hope the selectors are listening.
Old guy Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 we are the ones on which every team can laugh at :) we provide gr8 service :whack:
Pagalpanti Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 We don't have bowlers, who actually form an integral part of team.
jairamesh Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 YES YES YES Our bowlers are seriously embarrassing to Indian Pride, in the same category as corruption, poverty, etc. Brainless, Dumwits, no pace, can't spin, no variation, jeez are they really cricketers!
ViruRulez Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012  dhakkhan fletcher gtfo:finger: I would have to agree with that. Ever since Fletcher has joined the team, we have lost everything. Even Chappel did not have such crappy coaching records as compared to Fletcher. Coach is for improvement but I see on deterioration of Indian team under Fletcher.
The Realist Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Fletcher is just a terrible choice no doubt about that. But the raw materials in terms of bowlers is pathetic. Even 2nd division county teams have better talent in their reserves. Until the supply improves the results will be mediocre at best.

But the problem is that we do not have much options in the whole country. Dinda was the top wicket taker in domestic this year I suppose and that gives an idea of the bowling reserve we have. Yadav is the only somewhat gem we have found. I do not find Aaron that great either. So, TINA (there is no alternative) factor in case of bowling. BCCI needs to invest on fast bowler friendly pitches and open pace academies to improve the situation.
