zen Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It used to be a myth. Now its materializing with facts to show, one series at a time. Glad that he scored just about 100 in first match of WC. brain dead expert^ :hysterical:
NareshK Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I wonder how long before someone says "Whenever Kohli scores a big century in a tournament' date=' India fails to even make it to the final". :D[/quote'] How do people come up with crap like this ?:headshake:
zen Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 How do people come up with crap like this ?:headshake: In a world where losers call themselves akshay, it is not hard to come up with such crap :--D
saket123 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 we're still discussing this topic?? ridiculous! haters.. please give it a rest.
DomainK Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 And I thought I was the first one to think of that. :headshake:
akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 How do people come up with crap like this ?:headshake: Haven't you heard how a 100 can demotivate rest of the team to under-perform. :sherlock:
akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 And I thought I was the first one to think of that. :headshake: I think someone on CI posted that.
zen Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I think someone on CI posted that. Oh so you can think :hysterical:
akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Oh so you can think :hysterical: I can see how surprising that concept might be for your undeveloped brain.
Lurker Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I think this whole episode has been quite brilliant when you think about it. There have been occasions that selfishness of players could have been questioned and debated. But very rarely' date= have I seen it done in so "in your face" manner ? It is like Sachin saying, " Yeah I wanted the 100th 100, So ? " Always thought healthy debate was possible on this issue, but never thought Sachin will put it beyond doubt. As I said earlier, Sachin is only reflection of where we are in terms of mentality as a sporting nation. This is absolutely true. What bothered me perhaps more was the comment later on that this was his most difficult 100 or something like that. No it was not. Playing Saqib in BD is not remotely as comparable to Steyn or Donald in South Africa. It is quite depressing to see so much criticism of him at such a maginificent milestone, but a lot of the criticism of his performance in that game is well and truly deserved.

The Outsider Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Ek Bandar Hotel ke Andar. Guess you've not seen the film. No, I haven't. Just vaguely remembered the title from a long time back when Hindi dubbed versions of English movies started coming out.
ViruRulez Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hope he retires and I mean it. Even if he has regained his form after his 100th century but I would still want him to retire. We are in the worst period of our cricketing history in the last decade. We are way down in rankings suddenly and have nothing to lose anywhere. This is the ideal time for rebuilding the team with young blood. So, hope Sachin announces his retirement in the next few days so that young guys like Tiwary etc. can come and can be given an extended run in the team before finalizing on the new team for the next half a decade or so.

ViruRulez Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Your idol will replace Sachin in the team and Tiwary will be twiddling thumbs as usual. I like Viru but I am also one of his biggest critics. I have always said that unless he fixes his patience and shot selection and plays sensibly he might not make it in the long run in ODIs. Viru is worse than Sachin or anybody else especially when he is out of form. I would like next generation cricketers to be used in rebuilding the team and not Veeru etc. unless they fix their batting and return back to form. Viru has a few years if he can return back to form though.
akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 ^ oh yeah, you the brain-dead expert :haha: and you display your siggy like this: :haha: From the bottom of my heart, I really feel sorry for your loss...errr, lack of development of brain cells and short hands.
