Watching the Bangladesh Match

mind goes back to the 90s, slightly more innocent times, when team rarely won against best teams, almost never while chasing, invariably depended on one man. My understanding and memory of that period is the emotion that cricket brought out in everyone in every household. Cut back to 2012, where my feeling is that we have been numbed by excessive cricket and not too mention IPL and other gimmicks. Where players rarely exuber the passion and hunger to play for India. Yes, I still think we are better off than 90s but I do miss those innocent times when I pretended to not care for the match but would secretly pray in the other room for Indian win.

Yes. I couldn't help but feel for the Bangladeshi fans in the stadium. I have known the feelings they were experiencing. Of having an opportunity to prove oneself on the world stage. If Bangladesh had won this cup it would have mirrored what happened in India after 1983. A boom in the stock market, confidence boost for people in all trades and walks of life, general upliftment in the happiness index, self-belief grows, and a million bangladeshi women would have spent the entire night feeling very, very good and woken up satiated. ;)
