Make more pitches like Galle

I think this is the best way to make test match cricket interesting. Make pitches which are bowler friendly whether its for spin or pace bowlers. There's nothing more boring than watching a flat wicket where batsmen pile on centuries and make 600/5 and declare and then other team makes 500 All out and the game slowly ends on a draw in the fifth day. This is the main reason why people dont watch tests anymore. On the other hand, watching batsmen fighting for every run and bowlers testing a batsman's technique is a welcome change to T20s and ODIs where bowlers are unfortunately reduced to cannon fodder to batsmen. We need to see good contests between bat and ball and it's alright even if the test ends in 3 days. Prepare more pitches like the ones at Perth, Galle, Johannesburg and see if that brings more people into the stadiums.

Expect some white dude from ICC's pitch panel to make the decision to slate galle for future Tests. Just like they introduced one bouncer per over rule to counter the West Indies bowling in the 80s. Can't deal with then change rules to get around are these guys' mantras

Well it's not about veto power, it's based on the pitch decision panels. ICC don't vote on it. The pitch consultant makes the final recommendations which ICC follow thru on, make the decision to suspend, slap on the wrist, warn, etc regarding pitches. And that post is held by surprise surprise an englishman, Andy Atkinson.

+1 On top of that when we went to England, they had kept aside balls from the previous season specially for us, because those balls were swinging more than normal. Maybe SG can come up with special spinning balls too. Having said that I think BCCI will make flat pattas to make matches last for 5 days ($$$$) and our Test team right now is quite pathetic.
