TBH .. it would have been better if MI would have qualified .. or at-least DD at the moment for finals... we know how devastating CSK can be on the given day and MSD with the form he showed yesterday can kill anyone on the given day... CSK are way well prepared for these knockout games or the pressure situation of the Finals as they have been in this position on so many occasions plus they have some great finishers coming at the end like Morkel, Bravo.. Last six of the greatest bowler in the history R Bhatia is yet to sink in.. :(( ... and we all know S Narine can be left out but Bhatia never...

LOL, thats the ONLY THING he knows how to do...take it away from him, and hes nothing more than a batsman. his flat spears work in T20, but has he EVER had a good game against a top team, i.e. india, australia, south africa, etc. in ODIs ?? its funny how the bongladeshis fawn over this guy like he is some amazing player. guy would struggle to make a top indian ranji side, IMO.
A very poor quality post Even as a neutral fan I too agree that overall Kallis is a better allrounder than sakib, who comes second. Nowadays kallis his body is taking a toll on his performance and hence sakib performs better at PRESENT only. FYI, sakib averages 37 with the the bat and something like 27 with the ball. He has performed consistently throughout time against all opponents and hence he is ranked best allrounder at present. And struggle to make into a ranji side? Name one spinner at present in India who is anywhere near the quality of sakib with the ball. Many experts bel. sakib will get into most if not all teams in world cricket. And when your country's best allrounder is known as Ravindra Jadeja we all know the quality of allrounders in ur country. back your posts with stats

saar for me an all-rounder has to average atleast 35 with the bat and under 25 with the ball. Looks like he's failing in one department and barely making it in the other.

yes india has 100 allrounders like that. xnxfrr.gif he doesnt avg much more then 25 with the ball anyway. around 27 in ODI nd 29 in tests

Who said anything about India? If the quality of my team should be proportion to the standards I expect from the game then you have a long way to come.

according to kataria even imran was not an allrounder in ODIs bcs he avs less then 35 with bat nd more than 25 with ball. same with kallis, kapil dev. flintoff avg less than 35 with bat and more than 30 with ball.

fair enough. But you must also realize that you are comparing veterans by their overall averages which include their fading years which we all know destroys most people's stats. And SAH has the advantage of being in his prime when being compared at par with them. Take Imran, Kallis and Dev and compare their test averages season through season from their debut and see how SAH places amongst them.

i am not comparing anyone with shakib. just showed ur self made definition is laughable. shakib is only 25. his batting should be improved specially in tests within couple of seasons. and we all know spinners improve gradually with the time. maybe shakib is yet to reach his prime u never know. if you go through top ten list of all time great allrounders carefully you will see there are no spinning allrounders. shakib al hasan is the 1st yes u reading it right 1st spinning allrounder to top the allrounder chart in both ODIs nd tests. give credit where it is due :two_thumbs_up: no hard feelings just stating facts. peace out

oh yar leave it... Shakib has helped KKR immensely in this season .. thats enough for us... what matters is how u perform on the given day... rest is history.

no you didn't. you pulled up imran and what not to prove me wrong. I showed you where you were wrong. An all-rounder is not a position, like a batsman or bowler or a wicketkeeper. It is a title or recognition won based on performances with the bat and the ball. A batsman who scores ducks in a row is still a batsman. All all-rounders have been so atmost for a large part of their career. You say Shakib's prime is yet to come, I will wait and watch.

u r confusing allrounder with good/great allrounder. someone who is considered as a bowler (not part-timer) and can bat in the middle order(jadeja) is an allrounder. if someone maintain 35+ avg with bat and less then 25 with the ball for even few years on his prime is a great allrounder. if he can maintain it for large portion of his career then hes all time great allrounder. i wud say shakib is a good allrounder who has the potential to be a great allrounder and maybe one of all time greats. time will say . if u say hes not a great allrounder yet i agree. but when u say someone is allrounder at your book when only they avg 35+ with bat nd less then 25 with ball (post #667) so shakib is not even an allrounder then i'm sorry to inform u its laughable.
