Lurker Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 ++ Add Zaheer Khan too. Cant beleive I was shouting for this kambhakt for past two days, wanting him to get more sponsorships. Saw him yesterday, looks like he wanted somebody else to field for him. kamar nahi jhook reha tha saale ka. Saale these are our gyarah-ratan!
yoda Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Says the guy who scored 36 batting 60 overs in a WC game. LOL!
Late Cut Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 The indian team plays just like how the coach looks...hmmmm
Eternal Atma Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 They should stop worrying too much about the pitches and just play to the best of their ability. This whole 'rank turner/flat pitch' fiasco is nonsense and has taken the attention completely away from the game. Screw you Dhoni for this whole mess. We blame Dhoni yet he is one of the few who scores. Same was in England. He made battling 50's with the tail. The guy is a fighter and adapts his technique. Not a bad no.7. Dhoni not to blame. Previous selectors for not changing the team and fletcher. They didn't recognise a team in decline.
vivek_singh3187 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 It's remains a big secret that how come an Experienced bowler even after playing 45 Tests all over the world..doesn't know where to pitch the ball to tease the batsman & get him out...what worries more is that despite of having other options we are again & again showing faith on the players who have been failed to get wickets/pile runs even in home conditions. :((
Eternal Atma Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Agree with OP except about Dhoni. Dhoni bats well and get into the team without being Captain. Also he has been making it well known what pitches he wants. Whatever you say, point is he is doing what he thinks is best and batting well.
Old guy Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 pankaj singh is 10x better then ishant currently similar pace(wht ishant bowled here) similar height in form and knows to pick wickets why isnt he in team?!

Also he has been making it well known what pitches he wants. Whatever you say' date=' point is he is doing what he thinks is best and batting well.[/quote'] Are you saying.. Dhoni is in the team because of his batting and not because of his captaincy? if yes, then you gotta wake up soon.
Eternal Atma Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Are you saying.. Dhoni is in the team because of his batting and not because of his captaincy? if yes' date=' then you gotta wake up soon.[/quote'] No he can get it as keeper batsman even if not captain. Like I said, onthe england tour where we lost 4-0 he did his job at no7 many times with the tail. Again today he would have made a ton if he didn't run out of partners. He had hundreds in his last two tests in Kolkata. Scored runs v NZ. Don't understand the Dhoni hate. He is captain and keeper batsmen and no one can replace him. Partiv is a crap keeper. Kartik can't bat like him. Saha can't bat. Kaul is relatively unknown. I think people hate him because they think if Dhoni wasn't captain we would be no1 in all formats. The problem is deeper.
saket123 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 India is going through transition Lost couple of our middle order batsmen. Couple that we have are in twilight of their career. Few are out of form. Few youngsters are barely into their second season at Test level. Uninspiring coach' date=' rigid captain. A jackass cricket board who denies technological advantage to its bowlers. It is always about batsmen. These are recipes for disaster. There will be some ups and downs. Shouldn't be surprised to see prolonged slumps from our team. Even a great team like Australia despite their planning could not handle transition. Our team was never a great side. So our decline will last longer.Till such time we just have to tone down our expectations.[/quote'] There is no "transition" going on currently or before the start of this series..The uninspiring coach, rigid batsman, jackass cricket board that denies technological advantage, couple who are in the twilight, few out of form and everything else you've mentioned has ALWAYS been the situation in pretty much every game we've played in the past 5 years. I don't know what you are smoking. We win some and lose some... We've been winning more so at home in the past because of our "advantage" of exploiting flat tracks... Unfortunately for us and fortunately for others... good teams have caught up to our "home advantage" and are able to use it to their advantage... The problem is our lopsided batting-heavy team... and even then, we are ONLY batting heavy when other teams don't know how to bowl on subcontinent pitches.. Like I said.. that is not the case anymore.. So our batting and bowling is getting slammed. Until an epiphany hits us and we realize where our true weaknesses are and make an effort to correct them. .. We just need to bend over and take it for a while..
kabira Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Issue is with the leadership here. Dhoni and Buddha coach should be sacked asap.
kabira Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Nothing has changed since last year. Same mistakes. Lack of partnership. lack of big innings from batsman except pujara. Brining back guys like Yuvi instead of trying in form Rahane. Why is Ishant back? Why not give opportunity to Dinda..he was in prime form this season.
Spiderguy252 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Why are you fools picking on Gavaskar? He's right.
Spiderguy252 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 How the hell are we a powerhouse if we can win neither at home nor away?
Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 They have absolutely ruined it !!! With those huge ugly advertisement cloth hanging everywhere even on flood-light tower lol. Are they Paan Paraag banners? I wonder where all money for renovation of Edens went? Maybe BCCI didn't allocated much, those stand roof look 80s era!
Spiderguy252 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I used to make fun of England after their downward spiral post the 2005 Ashes, well, we're exactly the same after our 50-over WC win.
