Crookbond Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Inspired by Sir Jogi. Guess who was the umpire :) Ha ha! Steve Bucknor :D
dial_100 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 One more for you Lurker: I remember only two things from this match. Patterson was unplayable that day and Kapil Paaji played the gem of inning but we lost by 10 runs the best part was 110 runs partnership between Shastri and Kapil, just imagine the partnership that Shastri made 12 run in the whole 110 run partnerships. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64313.html Yup, I remember this entire game. damn those were the days. Patrick Patterson, I remember, he used to drag his right leg on the final step before releasing the ball. Quite odd. My team mate fell off very badly attempting that in a real game. But honestly, Walshy, Ambrose were something. WI had a great team until these two were playing. And then becamse average team once their bowlers reitred. Eventually they lost the batting power as well after Lara, Hooper, Richy etc. But yea Kapil was really something in those days. I remember, him and Vengy against NZ make 100+ partnership as well.
