saneindian Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Looks to have done some damage to his ankle. Should be fine with a few days of rest.
Old guy Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Looks to have done some damage to his ankle. Should be fine with a few days of rest. i hope so ...just looked bad and form past experince.. i think we are on verge of losing another potentially good bowler
saneindian Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 i hope so ...just looked bad and form past experince.. i think we are on verge of losing another potentially good bowler  We do not play a test match for the next 5 months, so even if the injury needs time to heal, Umesh will have enough of a rest.
ganeshran Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 We do not play a test match for the next 5 months' date=' so even if the injury needs time to heal, Umesh will have enough of a rest.[/quote'] Hope he didnt twist it. It didnt look that serious watching live, but you never know
Old guy Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 We do not play a test match for the next 5 months' date=' so even if the injury needs time to heal, Umesh will have enough of a rest.[/quote'] its not that simple..injuries at ankle (hope its not broken) can take long and many bowlers lose there edge after injury specially young ones example a back stress injury that happened to aaron is not that serious but at ankle .. to me its worse place to get injured :wall:
Serani Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 My initial thoughts are that he will be out for around 4-5 months, praise the IPL.
Ultimate_Game Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 After Zak and Sehwag injured in previous IPLs this time it's Yadav - our best and most promising pace bowling prospect  Now he will be out for a few months, require ankle surgery and we will once again go the "what might have been" path
Crookbond Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 My initial thoughts hopes are that he will be out for around 4-5 months' date= praise the IPL. Corrected. :winky:
bajrang Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 he twisted his ankle in his run up, it wasnt even a full blown 90 degree twist , it was more of a wobble. lol at some wannabe physicians in this thread.
SLICKR392 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Yeah..he almost had a fall during his run up. He limbed back but it looked nothing serious.
Clarke Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Sooo sad, he was gonna destroy the Ramgadh Optimus Prime XI. The potential worry here, he was gonna miss out on what exactly ?
chainsmoker1985 Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Don't worry. He is a strong boy and will be back on field soon. Just a small niggle. At maximum, he will miss a couple of IPL useless matches. Long tournament, 16 games per side, something's got to give. I knew this would happen and said this before the IPL. Positive point is that Yadav will get rest for 3-4 matches which he would not have got otherwise. This is blessing in disguise. He is a strong boy, nothing to worry
Cricket Tragic Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 How long is he out for? We don't play for a while so it's not too bad I guess.
Old guy Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 How long is he out for? We don't play for a while so it's not too bad I guess. its not abt matches he is gonna miss..wht im worried abt is he is was doing so well getting better and looking like a good bowler and out of no where this injury.. havent we seen this before? we have already lost so many bowlers like this i guess the list will just go on :wall:
