jairamesh Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Seedins should only be for the group stages. After that super 6s/super 8s or knock-outs should happen based on the tourney results. But in this case it's our fault for getting thrashed by Aussies and being in a position we are in. With our bowling attack there was nothing we could have done. But in hindsight Dhoni could thought of NNR and undertaking damage limitation (i.e. Ajmal bowling negative line to Kohli in India game). I just feel India as cricket team is very naive at these small things compared to the likes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia.
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 LOL' date='Do u think that any of the player can perform well in every day ?. give some respect for him man.don't be a ashamed person[/quote'] Just because you saw one person with a sad face on the field does not mean it doesn't matter to the others. Different people have different ways of expressing their feelings. So, respect Kohli and do not diss others. Also, Kohli failed by trying too hard against Australia and South Africa. I am not complaining about his performance. Just mentioning cold hard facts.
jairamesh Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Also should'nt they somehow include wickets-factor too in NRR? I mean a team chasing 150/1 vs another team chasing same with 150/9 are treated same, Not fair... Agree, good point.
King Tendulkar Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 To be honest the format is a joke. The last matches should have been played at same time to stop all this net run rate BS. Aussies rightly just went for 112 and it mucked whole thing up. Also super eights should have been just that, all the teams go in to 1 big group of 8 and play each other once with top 4 going in to semis. The 2 groups were unequal, ridiculous. The net run rate rubbish was biggest joke, farcial cricket, not real cricket

Pagalpanti Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 For a game as unpredictable as T20, the best format would be the one like 92 world cup. All 10 teams play vs each other, top 4 go through.
King Tendulkar Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 By the way this is not sour grapes but we lost only 1 game in tournamnet and dont make semis, something worng there
Sachinism Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I'm sure a lot more of them care. Just because they didn't cry on the field doesn't mean they weren't trying to win

Spectators should not have a choice to watch one game over the other.
saneindian Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 You need to quantify your statement - this looks like pure speculation. What are your sources? Continued selection of Jadeja before he was dropped, sticking to the same batting line up in the 4th tests despite being 3-0 down in the 8-0 maulings, the rotational policy in CB series, inclusion of likes of Chawla and Bhajji (Dhoni wanted experienced bowlers for World T20), lack of chances for Tiwary despite him doing well in the limited opportunities he has got so far..join the dots. Also on the field, when was the last time you saw Dhoni in a mini conference with other seniors?
cricket.fan Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 the reason why we are out is that drubbing we had aganist aussies and reason for that was dumb ass suvvar sloni...pls kick that dick head away form the team t20

King Tendulkar Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 That can not happen due to broadcasting deals - no two games can be played at the same time. Spectators should not have a choice to watch one game over the other. Well then let the farce continue. As today was a farce. We had 2 games which ended up being games within games. Aus were tagetting 112 and India targeting keeping SA under 121. Total farce of a cricket day
Sachinism Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 First round is designed to let the minnows have their 15 mins of fame before being sent home

Another good point. It's shame we didn't get Aus V NZ, Eng v SA, SL v Ind :hehe:, could have easily fit all games in. And this also allows points carry over as each team would have played one team once already in group stage.
Laaloo Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 So what's it going to take to remove this fatass? Why aren't our senior players coming out and saying anything?
King Tendulkar Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I'm sure a lot more of them care. Just because they didn't cry on the field doesn't mean they weren't trying to win True we all show emotions in diff ways. They all tried thats for sure
