But in hindsight Dhoni could thought of NNR and undertaking damage limitation (i.e. Ajmal bowling negative line to Kohli in India game). I just feel India as cricket team is very naive at these small things compared to the likes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia. Well said. Another thing I found wrong in the Aus game was that Zak only bowled 3 overs when he was our best bowler in the game. I would have bowled his 4 overs just so that it took Aus longer to reach the target. We lack in cricketing smarts big time.

Also on the field, when was the last time you saw Dhoni in a mini conference with other seniors? So this is still speculation - the selection committee picks the squad of 16. We don't know whom Dhoni is vouching for behind the doors. The selections are a problem but you can not be sure whom to attribute to. If you want to attribute it to Dhoni fine - go ahead. But, next time there's a win make sure you attribute 100% credit to him as well. It works both ways. I am not a fan of that theory btw - I don't think he's the savior, neither do I think he's a villain. This is not to say you cannot critique his on-field captaincy decisions. Please feel free to, I have done as well but we should be very careful before our emotions just start flowing left/right & get the better of us. Good night ! :icflove:

Making t20 rankings count, hence bi-lateral t20i games will have meaning. Top 8 get automatic qualification, the rest will need to qualify a week before the 10 team league.

And this also allows points carry over as each team would have played one team once already in group stage. Hahaha.. Instead of actual matches, we had useless warm-ups

Different people have different ways of expressing their feelings. So, respect Kohli and do not diss others. Also, Kohli failed by trying too hard against Australia and South Africa. Aus were tagetting 112 and India targeting keeping SA under 121. Total farce of a cricket day If you make H2H record take precedence over NRR, you will never have such scenarios.

Dhoni was on a ego drive trying to embarrass his front-line bowlers by throwing the ball to kohli and then rohit, forgetting about the bigger picture that this is 3 game league where all experts and fans had been banging on about the importance of NRR.
