deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 This thread can be summed up thus: a) The OP is retarded. This information could have been sent to a number cruncher in Phillipines, someone who didnt know there was a word called cricket and he would probably come up with similar results. All the expertise that happens here is on computer chip Pentium side, doesnt need a fan to do this. b) Many Indian fans are absolutely retarded in treating Waqar as some short of useless character. This from a nation that has never had a bowler, fast or spin, with remotely similar record as Waqar and hence fully deserve it when fans from other country has a go at them. c) Purely as a bowler Waqar was an all time great. Perod. End of discussion. Not amongst the top 10 bowlers of all times though. Would you take one bowler who was excellent throughout a career like Waqar but could not win you away series or would you take multiple bowlers who were excellent in an away series and win it for you but be mediocre for the rest of their careers(like our scenario)? I would take the latter. In the end it's team records that matter.
Naaz-neesh Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 you keep your 25 avging bowlers who can't win you away series. we'll keep sree, munaf,rp,zak, ishant, pathan who although cannot put a great performance across a career do well in a away series to hand us a win. when are u guys winning your first series in indies? :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: pakistan's overall away record is far superior to india (is the least anyone can say), becoz we hve bowlers to take wickets. only newzealnd and bangla have worse records, even sri lanka have better record than india :giggle:

Lurker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Would you take one bowler who was excellent throughout a career like Waqar but could not win you away series or would you take multiple bowlers who were excellent in an away series and win it for you but be mediocre for the rest of their careers(like our scenario)? I would take the latter. In the end it's team records that matter. You can take whatever you want. Every non-Indian will pick Waqar. And many Indians, like me, will Waqar as well.
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 You can take whatever you want. Every non-Indian will pick Waqar. And many Indians' date=' like me, will Waqar as well.[/quote'] OK then. No series win in Indies and Pakistan for us I guees as long as we can scream on internet forums "We have the best bowler evaaaaaaaaar".
the don Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 pakistan's overall away record is far superior to india (is the least anyone can say), becoz we hve bowlers to take wickets. only newzealnd and bangla have worse records, even sri lanka have better record than india :giggle: 0.37 :hysterical:, Fact is pakistan owns them on neutral venue , home venues and away venues. but 0.37 ?? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:, give them home umpires for foreign tours plz :haha:
Lurker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 OK then. No series win in Indies and Pakistan for us I guees as long as we can scream on internet forums "We have the best bowler evaaaaaaaaar". Wish I could. *sigh* Unlucky for me, and you, Waqar was no Indian and hence neither of us can shout that. So we shall live with our Ishants and RPs and Zaheer and try to show how they were better than Waqar...even if it makes the laughing stock of the world. :sniffle:
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Wish I could. *sigh* Unlucky for me, and you, Waqar was no Indian and hence neither of us can shout that. So we shall live with our Ishants and RPs and Zaheer and try to show how they were better than Waqar...even if it makes the laughing stock of the world. :sniffle: At least Zaheer was man enough to show up in a world cup, Ishant in the Indies etc etc. Waqar just has an avg nothing else. He's like Vinod Kambli.
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 0.37 :hysterical:, Fact is pakistan owns them on neutral venue , home venues and away venues. but 0.37 ?? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:, give them home umpires for foreign tours plz :haha: LOL :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Pakistan hasn't even an won an away tour with a top 4 nation in 15-20 years. They can only beat crappy New Zealand.
the don Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 LOL :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Pakistan hasn't even an won an away tour with a top 4 nation in 15-20 years. They can only beat crappy New Zealand. :haha: crappy NZ owns india , with the population that they have , shameful :cantstop: FACT:nz bowlers >indian bowlers , history proves it . but 0.37 ?? :hysterical:
panther Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 the reason why waqar is a great is beacuse he was able to perfrom in both formats. @dm the part about series win in aus, sa, wi it takes more than 1 player to win a series the whole team has to perform well as a unit or the majority of a team.
the don Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Well the OP is well known to try and do something to show his favourite Waqar Younis as the best.Which Waqar was not. When ever he faced the Indians and Aussies wet his pants.Remember that he did analysis of bowlers with regards to their SR 5 and 10 wickets hauls' date='total wickets etc and again on basis of SR and Peformance in Asia tried to potray Waqar as the best.An Indian asked him to do a similar analysis for batsmen in in regards to no. of runs 50s 100s Performance in away conditions.Refused, saying "we know who will top that".The psters and that site is pathetic. No wonder they were with Majeed.[/quote'] lol, S2K dont see you posting on PP anymore :hysterical:, the pwnage handed out to you by namak halal is the stuff of legends, plz come back i promise we wont laugh at you .:giggle:

Naaz-neesh Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 1. sri lanka don't have a better record. 2. pakistan's record is magnified due to winning dead rubbers in away series. if you think about it which major away series have pakistan won in recent years. none no. if you compare on a series to series basis india has a superior away record. as you can see sri lanka is above india in terms of away performances. there is also two tier with teams who have historically produced world class bowlers capable winning matches away from home, and teams who have struggled historically away due to lack of quality bowlers,
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 :haha: crappy NZ owns india , with the population that they have , shameful :cantstop: FACT:nz bowlers >indian bowlers , history proves it . but 0.37 ?? :hysterical: uh we have won series in new zealand. when have you guys won series in indies. :haha: crappy SL owns paksitan , with the population that they have , shameful :cantstop: FACT:sl batsmen >paki batsmen , history proves it .
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 as you can see sri lanka is above india in terms of away performances. there is also two tier with teams who have historically produced world class bowlers capable winning matches away from home, and teams who have struggled historically away due to lack of quality bowlers, then why have you yet to win series in indies while we have already won three? pakistan's away record is due to winning dead rubbers.
deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 very true :agree: enjoy your recent world cup and series victory in indies. oh wait, paki bowlers crap their pants there. wc - waqar, shoaib, gul - ultimate chokes.

Naaz-neesh Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 then why have you yet to win series in indies while we have already won three? pakistan's away record is due to winning dead rubbers. logic fail, even winning these dead rubbers wouldn't give such stark difference in win-loss ratio. pakistan is over double of india's w/l ratio :hysterical:, after over 200 matches! can you list the summary of away series won/lost to prove your point
