What was more difficult task in WC finals ?

Defending total on a seaming track conditions favoring swing bowling still can be done, but chasing 360 against rampaging Brett Lee and consistent McGrath and Gillespie and always reliable Brad Hogg was real tough. Even now team cannot chase 360 in batting flat decks and that track wasn't as flat as our bowlers made that look like. It was pacy and bouncy and Brett Lee was at his fastest best in that world cup.

183 in 60 overs was like an average score back in the days. The mammoth scores of those times were in mid 200s. Chasing 359 was a whole different level of difficulty. It was beyond the usual then and it's beyond the usual now. The chase in 2003 was definitely the harder one
