jashan83 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Asia Cup U-19 will be held in Malaysia this June. 8 teams are taking part in it Group A:- Malaysia, Nepal, India, Pakistan Group B:- Qatar, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Venue : Bayuemas Oval, Kinrara Oval, Royal Selangor Club, Selangor Turf Club; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Dates : 23rd June - 1st July 2012 This is a Important tournament before the U-19 WC in August. Let's hope the colts bring the trophy for India

India won the quadrangular series in April in Australia where the hosts, England & New Zealand also participated. Pakistan have won an ODI series in South Africa earlier this year, it was a decider in 3 match series where they managed to successfully get over the line. All set up for a Pakistan V India final during this particular tournament. I feel that Australia, Pakistan, India are the contenders for the U19 WC this year. All 3 of them have won the competition at least twice, with Australia winning it 3 times, being the defending champions & of course the hosts come August 12th when the 9th youth world cup kicks off.
