MCcricket Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 A trundler is akin to a batsmen who is a stroke less wonder, he will never dominate, force an issue, force mistakes from opponents, and is a liability and most probably will not amount to anything unless he is an all rounder and a fantastic batsmen and can do a fill in job ,even Steyn was hammered by AB , what does it make him lol. Aaron has taken wickets and forced mistakes from good batsmen, beaten then for pace, hit a few helmets, Morkel will not mention PK, VK, Unadkat, as only a few cars are meant to race and same way a few bowlers are born and can bowl fast, a fast bowler is a weapon and can wrest the initiative a trundler will never win test matches for you, or be able to turn the matches in your favour, might only perform in a ideal environment which is suitable to him which might be once a year or series.

If there was a trundler in his place, people would have been starting threads mocking him and saying he should never be played again. In last IPL, in one match Yadav went for 40 odd runs in just 2 overs. It is all about improvement. A trundler will have very less scope to improve than a genuine quick bowler.
