coffee_rules Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Is there a way to avoid this? I get it even in Yahoo. TOI is the worst, when you click on an article, it downloads a full page ad , that plays a video loud. Annoying.

Desi Cartman Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 Deesy Cart, Why do you read ToI? :D I grew up reading TOI newspaper at home. Also HT is no better
Sachin=GOD Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 It seems that the priorities of TOI's owners have changed in the last 10-12 years from providing good journalism to earning more profits. It used to be India's best paper till the 80s but now the owners are much more concerned about profits and hence so many Ads.

In the south it was, is, and will always be second to The Hindu. In the East, Telegraph and Statesman were always ahead. In the North and West Indian Express was as good as Times. So as such Times was never the best paper pan India
akshayxyz Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 ^ if you can be second best in every region, with no common 1sts... you can lay claim to being best across all regions.
