surajmal Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 :omg: That was nothing less than an interrogation' date=' how dare you invite Modi![/quote'] Not that I'm saying western journalism is a vanguard of journalistic integrity but these Indians have reached depths never before seen. Tavleen Singh is right. It is a god damn Darbar.

dial_100 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Tell you what, I was just checking some planning commission data of India. I noticed that Gujarat is #5-6 in Infrastructure index and per capita GDP, second in electricity installed capacity. The world community is looking at these two factors much more than other especially western economist. Its a strong indicators of sustainability. Obviously, most of the UTs are ahead of Gujarat as they are totally urbanized. Good infrastructure and much higher per capital income makes it a fastest growing state. So despite putting 40% of its annual budget on Social sector this year, Gujarat's economy would not see dent as it has already achieved infrastructure base it needs to maintain its economic growth. Eventually, there will be only delusional people left on a Feku Express. Nidhi Razdaan was literally crying .. but .. but.. but but Mr. Gardiner hahah.. I pity the intellect of these people.
Khalpat Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 You are putting it like a glass empty' date=' glass full proposition when it is not. There have been instances when he said he did X but has not done X aka fekufied. Just like the term Pappu has been earned by Rahul Gandhi, so has the term Feku earned by N Modi.[/quote'] Any examples or instances. He works like a Sales and Marketing team of a company who while selling their product sometimes get oveboard. Anyways he is just glorifying his state and making his state a more talking point that is fine. I wish someday Akhilesh will also do the same and people will talk about UP positively one day.

Khalpat Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Army was called by the CM on the same day violence erupted.

saneindian Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Political chatter: Congress already offering Mamta di Deputy PMship and Railway ministry post 2014
Sachin=GOD Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Political chatter: Congress already offering Mamta di Deputy PMship and Railway ministry post 2014 would be an incredibly foolish move seeing how fickle and unstable Mamta has become since becoming the CM (or rather, she has become worse than what she used to be before becoming CM). She is one person who just cannot be trusted IMO. If Cong has to offer something like this then Mayawati or MSY may turn out to be better options - both will get as many (if not more) seats as Mamta and because of their corruption cases in the CBI they can be handled/controlled.
saneindian Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Think this overture is aimed more at ensuring a smooth passage of the Food Security bill in the current session.
Sachin=GOD Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Think this overture is aimed more at ensuring a smooth passage of the Food Security bill in the current session. The FSB will pass. In fact I think it may be the only major bill that will be passed in this session (and that IMO was the aim of the Cong from the very start of this session). But about this Mamta rumor - the idea sounds too stupid and impractical to be true.
The Outsider Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 No way will Congress commit to the Deputy PM post prior to elections and certainly not to Mamata. It's possible that they may offer it to the leader of the largest supporting party after the elections. In that case, Jayalalitha, Mamata, Mulayam, Mayawati, and as an outside chance Laloo will all have a chance.

Congress desperately need an image makeover and it would be much better for them to offer someone who has atleast non corrupt image.

As I said Congress is trying every trick to ensure smooth passage for FSB and not really looking at 2014 right now.

Yeah, Nitish Kumar could also come into the picture, so could Naveen Patnaik if he sweeps Orissa. Will ultimately depend on the number of seats these regional leaders are able to muster.
saneindian Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Just now realized that I posted the Mamta di rumour in the wrong thread!
Crookbond Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Any examples or instances. He works like a Sales and Marketing team of a company who while selling their product sometimes get oveboard. Anyways he is just glorifying his state and making his state a more talking point that is fine. I wish someday Akhilesh will also do the same and people will talk about UP positively one day. There are a couple made in this thread itself - milk production and China GDP. Unfortunately, it is not fine - blatant lying is always an issue, particularly when one is projected as a "to be Prime Minister".
dial_100 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 This is how the projected PM should be. An honest truth .. :hysterical: :hysterical: .. A plastic tub, seriously? :haha:
dial_100 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 nailed it mate.. I know right? No body is coming back to refute that. All I am seeing is selective approach. So its all laughable.
The Outsider Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 BTW, the posters who feel so strongly about a journalist questioning a British MP on their duplicity and are trying to identify the issue as internal versus external, how do they feel about a CM challenging the PM on the Independence Day address?
