Sehwag1830 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 yeah just saw that' date=' even i am stunned by the fact h is earning more than novak, rooney, very hard to digest at least that rooney part.maybe they didnt count up the money rooney gets from endorsement..[/quote'] They have counted Rooney endorsement. Go and check on forbes list. Dhoni is currently the face of around 25 brands and charges over Rs. 6 crore per endorsement, according to industry estimates. The pack of brands endorsed by the Indian cricket captain includes Reebok, Aircel, Godrej and TVS Motor.
CG Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 No wonder he is captain cool with that kind of bank balance.
ganeshran Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Didnt Chelsea pay 50 million for Torress, how much did he earn out of that?
1983-2011 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Of his total earnings of 26.5 million, Dhoni earns 23 m through endorsements. Tendulkar has earned $18.6 million with 16.5 m from endorsements. so a player without endorsements would probably only earn 2-3.5 million dollars provided there are good as Dhoni and Tendulkar
1983-2011 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Didnt Chelsea pay 50 million for Torress' date=' how much did he earn out of that?[/quote'] he earns his money through wages, why would he get any share of the transfer fee
Sehwag1830 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 And out of those 3.5, 2 million is from IPL. So virtually they gain nothing from international cricket.
Stuge Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 ^ they get endorsements because of that only .Else they won't get a penny .
Sehwag1830 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 ^ they get endorsements because of that only .Else they won't get a penny . I know this. But still payment of international cricketer is low compared to other sports. In US and EUROPE, player salary constitute 45% of entire turnover.
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Shocked that he earns more than many of our premiership footballers. Tindu behind lol, kind of unfair.

Sehwag1830 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Beckham and Ronaldo were already that high when they were premiership players. Talking about present
CG Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 MSD also earns more than Messi from endorsements. :hatsoff: Messi probably does not have time nor wish to endorse so many brands .There is no comparison between ther skills nor salary.
Serani Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Messi probably does not have time nor wish to endorse so many brands .There is no comparison between ther skills nor salary. Messi is an ugly midget hence not such an attraction for companies.
velu Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Didnt Chelsea pay 50 million for Torress' date=' how much did he earn out of that?[/quote'] iirc players get 10% of the transfer fee
India-KXIP fan Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 This is curent earings per year right' date='not the total overall worth?[/quote'] Yep their total worth is way more. Where no F1 drivers in that list? Don't some of them get $40 mil+ a year?
The Outsider Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Boxing matches are all pay per view here in the US and range from $25-60 per match - that's an insane amount of money, almost equal to your monthly cable bill. For the life of me I can't see the fun part in two sweaty men trying to beat the crap out of each other. I wouldn't even watch a boxing match if someone paid me.
