actually this poses a very interesting problem ... Sehwag has it over Pak ... he has scored a 1000+ runs at what seems like 60+ average ... there is no way he should be left out against Pak IMHO. So what do we do considering the opening batsmen are doing well? And considering all the middle order chaps performed barring the cappo in this series?

I am not sure if Sehwag could handle Mohammad Asif. He looked completely out of sorts at Karachi, and judging by the way he always plays far away from his body, he is susceptible to being bowled through bat and pad by those incoming deliveries Asif specializes in. Karthik and Jaffer aren't quite as loose, but nowhere near as destructive either. Still, i wouldn't break up this opening combo, especially after a series like this one in which they were very successful.

I would play Sehwag over Laxman in the middle order for the first test and take it from there.

fair pt ... although i think we all are underestimating Sehwag in TESTS ... nonetheless ... he has to play somewhere against a team he OWNS... i doubt whether they will break up the middle order even though Ganguly and VVS dont have flash records vs PAK
