Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Lot of rubbish balls are served by New zealanders. Somehow we are not making them pay. Lot of shots are finding fielders at the moment.
vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Somehow we are not making them pay. Lot of shots are finding fielders at the moment. They score only when it is pitched up.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 They score only when it is pitched up. That's not such bad news. This shows they learnt their lessons from earlier games. Against WI & Zim half the batsmen got out to short pitched deliveries by trying to hook/pull.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 We gotta target Ludhiana's Inderbir Singh Sodhi
vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Prashant has faced 9 overs managed only 21 runs. That is barely over 2 runs per over.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 That over was horrible. Yup, we are letting the spinner & the 5th bowler get away. We should aim to score around 55-60 runs of his quota.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Maiden over We gotta score at least 2-3 runs every over. We have seen off the new ball and shouldn't allow maidens at this stage.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 47 dot balls by Prashant chopra  IMO he did well but now we need to accelerate a bit and target the spinner.
vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 This Prashant just doesnt believe in strike rotation.
vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 IMO he did well but now we need to accelerate a bit and target the spinner. This guy is a very very ultra limited batsman compared to some of the past U19 players i have seen. Tanmay srivastava, shrivats goswami.. et al.
Trichromatic Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 This Prashant just doesnt believe in strike rotation. :cantstop: His batting is horrible for any level.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 This Prashant just doesnt believe in strike rotation. Yup he gotta learn how to take 1s & 2s and rotate the strike.
vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 8 dot balls followed by a 6 now another 5 dot balls
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 This 4/6 or nothing approach by Chopra is unlikely to succeed at higher levels coz you build an innings by raking 1s & 2s and not by hitting boundaries.
