Lucknow, Aug 17 (PTI) A protest march after the last Friday prayers of Ramadan today turned violent here as a group of people, shouting slogans against alleged atrocities on minorities in Assam and Myanmar, resorted to stone pelting and vandalism. The protest march which started from near the Tile Wali Masjid created a ruckus on its way forcing business establishments to close down and vandalising parks and vehicles, a senior police official said. http://www.ptinews.com/news/2889999_Protests-in-Lucknow-after-Friday-prayers--media-attacked I think country is looking for a major show down.the patience of the majority is really being put to a test here

WTF is agenda. I mean the so called minorities are making a mockery of this country and we should allow them to do whatever they are doing ?
There is a legal sytem in place and they should be punished by lawful means. If "we" are going to retaliate then what is the difference between India and Pakistan

Congress wants another '92 or '02. Then they can use that as pretext to demonize BJP and Right through their Sickular media to communalize the elections. That is the only way they win 2014. Ofcourse, if Hindus vote for Congress again, they deserve all the crap that is coming their way.

This is really stupid of those Muslim leaders who are inciting Muslims after Friday prayers, that too in the month of Ramzan. Assam was not a Hindu Muslim conflict, but by siding with the ethnic Muslims in Assam, these leaders have made it into one. But I hope Hindus don't retaliate. Let the law take it own course, oh wait.. I forgot it is MMS and Sonia ruling India. Let sanity prevail. :(

Seriously? I think they did a brilliant job in Mumbai and are still doing a very fast job of arresting the culprits. Of course anything short of shooting them on sight won't satisfy you.

 There will always be good and bad people - learn to discern the difference between them. It will help you. DonÃÕ flee, Muslim leaders say
Appeals to maintain communal harmony are being made in several mosques in the city, including the Khadria Mosque in Benson Town and Jamia Mosque in K.R. Market. MLA N.A. Haris said there would be further appeals, especially during the Friday prayers which were expected to see a huge turnout. Trustee of Rainbow Forum Feroze Abdullah said Muslim organisations would issue advertisements in Urdu newspapers stating that Muslims were not against Buddhists or any other community.
