Suppose Dale Steyn is bowling and Dhoni is on strike. Dhoni is a very hard hitter, and what if the cricket ball breaks into 7 pieces after he's hit it. 3 of the pieces cross the boundary for a 6 and the other 4 are caught by fielders. Will Dhoni be judged out? What if the weight of the 3 pieces that crossed the boundary accounts for 50.01% of the cricket ball and the weight of the 4 pieces that were caught accounts for 49.99%, will Dhoni still be judged out? Will it be a 6? Or will it be some kind of a weighted (unintended pun) average of the 7 pieces.

I have seen plenty of matches where a batsman was bowled off a no-ball and the bll ended up away from fielders but I never saw any batsman try to take runs. Not even a single incident like that. Surely we would have seen batsmen steal runs if that were the case? I've seen batsmen run after being bowled. :dontknow: It doesn't happen often because: 1) Many international players don't know the rules 2) The opportunity is rare because often the batsmen does not hear the call and walks back, the ball is too close to a fielder etc Give me 2 mins and I can dig up atleast 1 video.
