Maybe Batty didn't have the courage to stand by the decision he made' date=' which is quite common these days.[/quote'] May be or may be not - there's no way to know.

Wasnt it in the recent England SA Series, Matt Prior Collected the ball and waited and waited for Morne Morkel to lift his backfoot and then stumped him. If that was within the spirit of cricket, so was this. I think the whole incident smacks of racism. I wonder if there would have been such a hue and cry if say Stuart Broad was the bowler?

All BS. Play the friggin' game by the rules. If you think that's not within the so called spirit of the game then bloody change the rules. The only time I see this spirit of the game come in to play is when there is an unfortunate and unintended accident or collision between players.

An U19 cricketer understands the rules better than Trescothick who has been an international cricketer since 2001. :giggle:

At the recent Under-19 World Cup, Soumya Sarkar, the Bangladesh bowler, Mankaded Jimmy Peirson. William Bosisto, the Australian captain, said, “We certainly won’t be getting out like that again. It was obviously disappointing, but that’s within the laws of the game and I think our boys will learn a lesson from that.”

It was a fantastic comment from an U19 cricketer - William Bosisto. Just for cricket's sake, I hope he makes the next level. Both, Chand and Bosisto are just too mature for their age!

Looking at the video for the First time time I think Karthik was wrong, the batsmen wasnt taking the mickey he was leaving his crease with the bowler, arthik effectively threw a dummy which meant the batsmen was out of his crease.
