Old guy Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Got injured:giggle: ya.. and i mean he has poor record at first class level..was picked on potential but got injured i think some one like shami ahmed should be ahead of him even awana.
ShebbySB Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 ya.. and i mean he has poor record at first class level..was picked on potential but got injured i think some one like shami ahmed should be ahead of him even awana. Shami & Awana should be picked ahead of Ishant at the moment.
Old guy Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 no one mentions p.kumar here!! for series at home he will be useless
Old guy Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Shami & Awana should be picked ahead of Ishant at the moment. clearly selectors dont think like that on talent no one is as good as ishant but he needs to learn how out smart batsmen i dont know i read some where maybe it was lillie's article he said u dont get wickets by beating bat 3-4 times and bowling brilliant balls u do by out smarting . i dont think ishant knows wht he is doing he just knows that he has to hit particular line and length and he jsut keeps repeating it good international quality batsmen will never get out like that people say mcgrath bowled line and length.. yes he bowled with control but he knew how to get wickets see some of his spells to lara they were fun to watch :--D ishant needs to go play on some a tours.. ranji tournaments and then come back..
JaFanatic Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 And as a batsman I think he is better then saha' date='but shows u how much chika and co care about future of Indian cricket,[/quote']he's like uthappa not a specialist keeper

India-KXIP fan Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Sehwag is not test material anymore. And ofcourse we all know Rahane and Chand have a few weaknesses they're not ready. Rohit? Need I say anything? We need to groom another upcoming youngster. Mandeep has performed all over the world, IPL and Ranji.

If he scores runs in the NZ tour for the India-A team then he'll certainly be in the reckoning.
India-KXIP fan Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 First Kapil of Chandigarh single handedly won India World Cup. Then Yuvraj won India the World Cup. India has won 2 world cups. Now its Mandeeps turn to win India world Cup. He plays fast bowling well, very well. He has performed with U-19s in Australia. Its all set.

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 My Pick:- Openers:-Gambhir,Sehwag,Rahane Middle order batsman:-Pujara,Sachin,Kohli & any 2 among Rohit/Mandeep/Surya Kumar/Badri/Manoj.My pick will be Mandeep & Rohit. Wk/Bat:-MSD© Spinners:-Ashwin,Ojha & any 1 among Chawla/Rahul/Harbhajan. My pick will be Rahul. Seamers:-Zaheer,Umesh & any 1 among Ishant/Shami/Aaron. My pick will be Shami. 15 man squad should have 3 openers,5 middle-order batsmen,1 keeper (as it's a home series),3 spinners,3 seamers. Cant find a single fault with that team! Line up: Gambhir Rahane Pujara Sachin Kohli Rohit Mandeep MSD Ashwin Rahul Zak Umesh No room for Sehwag but this will never happen, neither will Mandeep be picked.
saneindian Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Pls dont pick a 15 member squad making 4 quality players sit on the bench missing out on crucial FC experience. At best a 13 member squad please with the 13th player being released a day before the Tests to go and play for his domestic side.

Only 12 players for a test match .. who will give crucial breaks to our oldies during long fielding stints then??
goggi Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Get rid of the excess fat in the team then you have a competitive XI for England series, i.e. Tendulkar, Sehwag, and Zaheer.
