My Pick:- Openers:-Gambhir,Sehwag,Rahane Middle order batsman:-Pujara,Sachin,Kohli & any 2 among Rohit/Mandeep/Surya Kumar/Badri/Manoj.My pick will be Mandeep & Rohit. Wk/Bat:-MSD© Spinners:-Ashwin,Ojha & any 1 among Chawla/Rahul/Harbhajan. My pick will be Rahul. Seamers:-Zaheer,Umesh & any 1 among Ishant/Shami/Aaron. My pick will be Shami. 15 man squad should have 3 openers,5 middle-order batsmen,1 keeper (as it's a home series),3 spinners,3 seamers.

ur squad is fine except I wud add an extra keeper and tiwary instead of rohit he may not be as talented as rohit but is a brilliant fielder a pretty decent bat and useful leggy

Tiwary is their,we should select 2 among Rohit,Manoj,Badri,Mandeep & Surya Kumar depending on domestic form.We don't need an extra keeper at home as if Dhoni is injured we can replace him any time.

sehwag gauti sachin pujara kohli manoj dhoni ashwin ojha zak umesh. wish we had a left hander in the middle, but with manoj we have bowling option and he in know to stick around, i am hoping him and ashwin will produce legendary partnership down the order.

Gambhir Sehwag Pujara Sachin Kohli XXXXXXXX Dhoni Ashwin Zaheer Ojha Umesh I think the time for Rahane or any youngster making sn opening debut have gone. Its not fair to him to open against england first up. Ideally NZ is when he should have been bedded in. For number 6 I would have Tiwary or Sharma in there.

We can fly one immediately if Dhoni gets injured. I would love to see Aaron play if he is fit but I suppose Ishant will be the first choice third seamer in the squad. It will be interesting to see who will play at number 6 if Sehwag is not pushed down the order. In that case it might be between Rohit or Tiwary or may be Yuvraj. Lot of speculation at the moment. But the above 11 looks great for the first test.

If he performs well with the India-A team then he has got a good chance. He'll fight for a place with Ishant.India will select 3 spinners & 3 seamers so it's unlikely that he'll get a call up ahead of Zak,Umesh & Ishant.
