Magneto Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Ravikant Singh gave 26 runs off his last over including two no-balls. He needs to go back and play with the U-15s now. Gave 64 runs in 5 overs. :cantstop:
Magneto Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Part timers do get wickets in ODI cricket too... http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/296904.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64567.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65590.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/66212.html http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65922.html http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65777.html http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/66188.html http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64900.html I didn't say this is happening in cricket for the first time. Just that he is someone who's never played FC even, and is straight out of the U-19 team. And he's not even a bowler; and he gets a fiver in a tournament which is a bowler's graveyard. :cantstop:

Magneto Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 It is a little amusing but doesn't mean the tournament or even the batsmen are a joke. The kind of teams this tournament has or the pitches they have are jokes in their own right. The strength of the three teams are at the levels of an India-A ODI team, a state FC team and a club team. The tracks are the flattest possible. Why isn't this tournament a joke when the results are almost a foregone conclusion?
msb1991 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Why isn't this tournament a joke when the results are almost a foregone conclusion? How are the results a foregone conclusion? India A Vs India B was a close match.
Magneto Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 How are the results a foregone conclusion? India A Vs India B was a close match. Check out the result of the first match. This one is also going the same way. Terribly one-sided games. The last match came close only because of Pujara's individual brilliance. It's almost a one-man army barring Vijay. The rest - Anirudha, Bisht, Binny etc are not really players who'll contribute much. The selectors should have made an effort to make the teams somewhat equal at least. Just check out India-A's Top 7 VS India-B's Top 7.
msb1991 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Apparently Munaf is working up good pace, anyone watching?

Magneto Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Saha scores an 85-ball century but wickets are falling from the other end as usual. 139 required in 15 overs now.
