v8mnhd.jpg Even though Punjab is in the top 3 , there are still lots of power cuts.
And Punjab is not even a Industrial hub, one can understand Gujarat being in top 5. Truly mind-boggling. Without power-cuts Punjab may shatter all records. Indian Punjab is a market larger than all of Pakistan according to this article HERE. Punjabi's are really rich. :hatsoff:

With all due respect, remittances from Kaneda and UK are the mainstay of Punjab's economy. That money fuels a lot of boom in construction etc and by extension consumer goods which the article refers to. Name one new age industry that Punjab can lay its claim on? Power cuts dont really matter IMO.

^ Nope, the mainstay would be agriculture and then there's industry as well, how else would Ludhiana claim to be one of the most polluted cities in the world.

In ageing Europe ,Japan etc demand of workers for menial jobs will increase year by year and India will become one of the major supplier of that work force.Uttar pradesh is now already No.1 in remittances

Mate, read my post again. That guy was talking about Industrial growth being stunted by power shortage. I was just pointing out that unlike states like Gujarat, Maharashtra or the southern states, Punjab doesnt really have an organised industrial sector to boast of.
