What a joke! Sanga was just a flat track bully for a Sri Lanka team that did nothing all year! What Philander and Amla did was unbelievable and deserves the highest recognition. To be honest Sanga should not have even been nominated over Ajmal. I guess bowlers will always be unappreciated...

In the same way, Philander got to bowl on bowler friendly conditions. Having said that, Sanga has been a terrific player away from the sub-continent too :nice:

a very valid point, one most of the people would miss. can't do anything about people's choice awards, votes speak themselves. maybe sachin should take a damn hint. test cricketer of the year should have gone to someone else. sanga's stats v ENG and SA are abysmal.
