SL is a lovely place but yeah the people seem to suffer from cricket fatigue. I think we will see some crowd from the next round onwards.

Its early days yet. Some good contests will be coming in the Super 8 and knockout stages. I am sure the spectator interest will definitely improve. No one would like to watch a match like today's SA vs ZIM match even for free.

Colombo has a decent crowd esp. when a SC team plays ... but Hambantota and Pallekele ... people there must be too poor to not be able to pay $1 to come and see the games.

Take it from me....Lungan cricket fans are as virulently anti-Indian as they come. Do people already forget how lungans threw stones at our players few years back. Lets also not forget that Indian Cricket Fans were assaulted in peaceloving friendly smiling lanka during the last ODI series, in which we thrashed them. Remember that the cricket is just an outlet for them to show their hate towards India. Write to your representatives in office......write letters to BCCI.....make sure they cancel all future tours to silly lanka. Let them run behind the English cricket board.

Well I have never seen Indian fans supporting SL on a cricket ground (ok I know few who support SL as their 1st choice team, probably fed up with arrogant young Indian players :giggle:). On the other hand English fans do support SL team, have seen it many occasions. So SL fans giving that back to them is not surprising at all :dontknow: Also SL students studying in those countries, Eng, Aus or Nz generally support them as their 2nd favorite team :dontknow: But you can do nothing about it :finger:
