Shunya Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 i will take this performance over past few T20 WCs... well played...not the best though
Ultimate_Game Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Really pissed off with Australia and South Africa Hussey you dumb idiot what was that celebration for. Maybe the fact that his team qualified for the semis :dontknow:
nballa Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 this whole net run rate thing is absurd and should be eliminated. you dont see that in american sports. in baseball they dont award a wildcard spot to a team which has more runs scored/runs allowed ratio in case of a tie. they play an eliminaton game as its more fair. same should go for cricket. such a backward sport.
Debutant Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Pretty satisfied with the performance overall. Never had big expectations from this tourney. I think India over achieved.
Feed Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 India 'satisfactory' despite early exit - Dhoni MS Dhoni, speaking with a catch in his voice that betrayed his acute disappointment, has called for a "practical" assessment of India's failure to make the knockouts of the World Twenty20 for the third successive time More...
Mariyam Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Apart from the 1st game, in which a Sanjay Dutt clone was bowling for Afghanistan, I didn't see any of the other games. But from what I read, we've done extremely well. Won 4 games of 5. I wouldn't be out with the brick bats just yet. Would give the benefit of doubt to the team and only after some thorough analysis should we take calls about whom to or whom not to sack. And we still beat Pakistan. :D My suggestion in a 3 way tie between teams. We had a situation where all teams beat RSA and had India beat Pak, Pak beat Aus and Aus beat India. In such cases, if you are going to settle it on NRR, ignore the RSA matches. Just look at the NRR between the matches of the 3 teams in contention.
The Outsider Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Mariyam's jijaji went to Sri Lanka too late. He kept his unbeaten record intact but that was not good enough to take India to the semi finals. :protest:
