mastana Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I think it's a case of us playing badly than England playing well. We gifted Panesar most the wickets in the first innings and some stupid shots in the 2nd innings. KP played a good innings' date=' that is all. We bowled poorly. We have ourselves to blame but we can pick ourselves up and win the remaining tests.[/quote'] Good post. :cheer:

We need to learn to be gracious and give credit where it's due. Ever think that we didn't play as well coz opponent didn't allow us to? At the end of the day England were the better team in bigger moments of the match and you gotta appreciate it.
Chalks Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 England have been the better team since about day three of the previous test, has to be said. :hatsoff: Safrica digging in on day five in Adelaide. Had it been us, game would have been all over by now.

Every top team at least fights it out as SA & Aus have done in the past or SA are doing now, or how Eng has done this series. But we simply didn't show up for the entire 0-8 fiasco. Simply unaccatable state of affairs and plenty of heads should have rolled after a detailed enquiry. But the enquiry was never initiated as BCCI was "satisfied" with the performance and all the seniors had a free ride with likes of Tendulkar still hanging around without doing jack shyte. This sense of entitlement is why we are wallowing in mediocrity.

Been going on since 2010-2011 or so. When the opposition start to score a lot of runs, we just deflate in the field.
maniac Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Time we stop pointing fingers and appreciate the opposition....the English spinners outbowled os and cook and kp played brilliantly......doesn't need a genius to figure this out that has been the difference....so it's time we say very well played to the English team.....they just wanted it more in the end.
CoverDrive Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Monty Panesar take a bow!! What a player and what an attitude. He is the difference between the two bowling attacks. He has the right accuracy, speed and turn to create trouble on this track. Well done England!
