Obvious double talk from Dhoni ... with the loss of Dravid and Laxman ... Indian batting is mostly FTB's like Sehwag and himself. I'm sure he and the BCCI are seeing to it that the Eden Gardens track will have very little turn and bounce.

Absolutely nothing wrong in it. Such pitches produce thrilling cricket , there would be no easy runs and it will also force the batsmen to work harder on their game. Granted we lost, but that was more due to our own complacence (and also KP's brilliance). A similar pitch may see some of the players not repeat the mistakes they made here.

These are lotteries like seaming tracks nothing else.One good perfromance can turn the match.Its better to prepare a normal track which help fast bowlers in some form and spin later rather than prepare turners .

Dustbowls and greentops are lotteries, but this pitch looked far from being lottery. It was not that bad to bat on.

We need good pitches where all skills of cricket can be showcased. Eden Gardens has always helped swing bowlers so we will be going with 2 pacers probably.

At the end a lot will depend on how Ashwin bowls.

I think India should create a swinging greentop for the next test instead. It's obvious you guys can't play spin so why don't you try the other option ;)
