He has a point, India atleast manage to take 20 wickets on Wankhede type pitch. Otherwise our bowling attack is hopeless, if Ashwin can give 160-2 kinda performance on vicious spin wicket then one can only wonder what will happen to him on flat deck. EDIT: oops sorry, I forgot we got thrashed by 10 wickets, so only 10 wickets in match for allmost 500 runs. :omg:

This is the type of wicket that is good for test cricket. It will be a snooze fest to watch games which are played on flat tracks where team wins the toss scores 500 or 600. It could be bad for our team because most of them seem to be struggling for runs but at the same time, it will expose their weaknesses. That's what a test match is supposed to do, test the batsmen and bowlers.

If we do not learn from Mistakes we are idiots.We should want a result wicket which brings everybody in to the game.It was a dumb decison to go for turning track after winning the 1st test . We have won most matches in india on good wickets which have bounce and aid reverse swing. Add the fact our batting lineup is a not in best of forms .So its better to go on a normal eden wicket which aids swing [it will no matter what] and spins in last 2 days.

There was still enough bounce and carry in the wicket, much more than at Motera. Captains just chose to bowl spin as it seemed more effective. I thought Zaheer should have bowled more overs, especially to Cook in the beginning.

A turning pitch should be our home advantage. If that cant do the job, nothing else can. One thing's for sure. If India keeps preparing flat batting friendly wickets like they have been doing for a while, we can say goodbye to tests in a couple of years. Nothing is more boring than watching batsmen score runs all day against a bowling attack which is rendered impotent by a flat track and a captain who has to set a defensive field.

It's not about losing or winning. We were horrible in this match but it was one hell of a match until we collapsed in our 2nd innings. If you bowl first you get decent swing and enough carry considering its in the SC. It was humiliating to be hammered by spin and our spinners were crap aswell. If they start bowling good line and length with good pace and turn we can beat them with ease.

They can also do well on pitches with bounce as long as its consistent. Its the seam movement and swing Indian batsmen have a problem with.

we might have struggled in this one Test but usually Indians have been good players of spin so why not go for a spinning track. It will assist our spinners if they bowl well.
