After the loss at Mumbai Indian players take five days off. After the win at Mumbai England players take one day off and even if they are not involved in a tour event practise on their skills and weaknesses each day. There in a nutshell

Indian team has nowhere to hide. England clearly the better team and this tour will have a lasting impact on the team. IMO, England has re-established its dominance like the Gooch-Gatting and before days. Once that is achieved, it becomes difficult to wrest it back.

England players put in hard yards in preparation of this tour, that paid off. Indians have forgotten the culture of practicing hard. They expect that there inherent skills are enough to see them through, which doesn't happen when you compete with players of equal skill level.

SA hardly prepared for England series. When you lose, all other factors are highlighted as reason of failure. SA-England series and Pak-Eng series proves that quality is basic requirement and practice creates difference between two two similar teams only. Current Indian team is way too weak.

It may not work But english team has a plan .They went to australia and played some tour matches and they did the same here.You give yourself more chance that way.

We learnt after the Ashes whitewash in 06/07 when we didn't get enough practice matches.

England do work hard and are well supported by the England A program, though it didn't prevent them being whitewashed and comfortably being hammered at home against an under-prepared South Africa. and tbh currently the gap between India (despite poor form) and England are Cook and Monty.
