What a Lie, we don't have players to choose

I personally feel this is the best time in the history of Indian cricket until now as far as having so many players the incumbent selectors could have groomed before the retirement of the big guns, bench strength is built by picking up good players and giving them chances which this management hasn't done in last three years, we have the world champion U 19 side, our A sides have dominated strong teams in away games, IPL and new domestic formats have and will provide more talent. The mafia comprising Srini, Dhoni, Sreekant had kijacked indian cricket for last 3 years or more and held ransom the success and guaranteed our failures in the future, all the good work done by Saurav, Wright, Kirsten was undone in their terms.Even the earlier successes in ODI and T20 I credit to them rather then Dhoni and Srikant. Biggest failure has been to see the obvious, no plans or grooming of players was done, only recycled failures were brought in the team or players who have not done anything of note or just players who were mediocre.Fletcher doesn't seem to take any initiatives and just is being dominated by Dhoni and Srini. Three separate teams are the need of the hour, Dhoni stripped of his test place and captaincy, Pankaj Singh, Irfan, Shami, Umesh, Gony, Aaron , Suyal be our pool for test bowlers, Irfan, Awana, Ishant, Shami, Umesh for ODI.T20 team built around youngsters and also giving rookies enough chances. Surprisingly we don't have many choices with spinners, talented spinners should be looked at and groomed, some good spinners playing for Karnataka, Tamilnadu this season , BCCI should seriously look at appointing Spin coach cum consultant for identifying spinners and same thing for identifying domestic talent . If you look at domestic stats this year most performers are youngsters and players who haven't played for too long which is a good sign, now it is upto the BCCI to take care of them, make sure they stay fit and identify the potential India players and invest in them. Players and team along which coach should be accountable for their performances and should be evaluated as any private body would be, presently there is no accountability and Srini along with Dhoni are the biggest roadblocks to improving our pathetic state of affairs.

We missed the trick when we persisted with non-performers in our home season. This was the perfect opportunity to groom youngsters before 2013-14 when we travel to SA/ENG.... Rahane/Mukund/Tiwary/R.Sharma should have been given an opportunity. Same with pankaj singh/ Awana and not the time and tested failures like Unluck Bas...ds :hitler: Kohli should have been given the captaincy. Worst case we would have lost the series. Surprise surprise, we are anyhow losing it.

Agree, this shows BCCI as a sports body is weak, it is not run professionally and it is planning for failures and where success is an accident.

Could not have put it better myself. I had cancelled my Sky Sports service 2-3 years ago as I had seen this coming. the sad part is that we haven't hit the bottom yet. The BCCI and our big name players are still busy rolling in the money and signing new contracts for the sponsors every now n then. Until the focus is shifted towards getting new talent in with well groomed bolwers, indian cricket is on a downward slope.

He can score with his technique in an unorthodox fashion. Biggest problem is he gets bogged down. If he plays natural game he is a handy player at 7 being a keeper. Yeah he hasn't done much in T20i but has in domestic t20. He bats low down in international t20 and he is someone who can only hit big once he is in. No one would drop him from a T20 team but ODI is his best format. Kartik, Kaul are good contenders. Not Parthiv who can't keep or Saha who can't bat well.

Saha should have been India's test keeper and be playing for a while now on merit, Dhoni is the one who is obstructing and one of the main causes of where we are at , as a captain and a player. Srini is the selfish ****!@# who is thinking of IPL and CSK the only reason why Dhoni is playing and also the trouble that we are in right now.

Bench strength doesn't happen by magic but planned introduction of players every series should have one or two potential players who can show that they belong and build bench strength, Australia used the proper means to give chances to rookies who weren't even experienced, the reason they have bench strength is because, Cummings, Pattinson, Starc, Hazelwood, Khwaja and many other players got a chance in last one year alone. Certainly we will have other Pujara's, Kohli's, Zaheer's if they go thru the process, people , especially selectors talking about no bench strength are talking about their own failures, a captain, coaches, slectors primary job is to build bench strength, Dhoni, Srikant, Fletcher, Srini were the root causes and failures and the reason why we don't have a decent bench strength and have to go back on players who are not in form, fit or failures.

Sehwag, Gambhir, Sachin become too big and couldnt be dropped from the side despite repeated poor performances and they even got some of their butt buddies like Bhajji, Yuvraj into the side. This is where the test team became crap.

BCCI is a joke Rightly drop Yuvi and Bhaji. But then replace with Jadeja (chennai super king) and Chawla. Who every tom dick and harry know are not test players even at home let alone when go abroad.
