Tendulkar looks at quitting ODIs

Correct decision at this point in time in his career. He has nothing more to prove in ODIs. However in tests, he has a lot at stake. On the flip side though, playing ODIs was keeping his aggressive juice flowing, which may evaporate completely when he quits ODIs.

I shiver to think what will happen to our one day team without Sachin. He has not only been playing for himself, but Ganguly too. If he is gone, Ganguly's performance will come under greater scrutiny. And after all he is just 34. That is not old by current international cricket players standards. Maybe the 2 decades of cricket has taken the toll on him.
But it won't be a bad thing for us, MM. Once the load on his body reduces, he'll be able to concentrate more on the test cricket and it'll be good for India. But the way he was talking to the ESPN team after match, it didn't seem that he'd retire at Lords the coming saturday. Let us see... Our ODI team needs young blood and at least one spot will be there for them if Sachin quits from this form of the game!

Well , what helps him to keep playing for longer is ok for me.

I watch tennis for Roger Fedrer, golf for Tiger Woods and cricket for Sachin Tendulkar. Obviously watching cricket takes priority over tennis and golf so it will be a sad sad day for me when Sachin retires

I think he should play just 50% of Indias ODI's
He is not quitting you fools. He will be at the 2011 WC thats my prediction. Cricket is his life, he is smoking runs left right and center. He aint going no where

don't write off Federer. He is going to make a very strong comeback :finger:
Yes. He is looking good in this French Open. Hope he makes way for Nadal to win another French open by taking (D)joker out in SF :--D:--D. (I would be far more comfortable if Nadal faces Federer in final than him facing (D)joker.)
