yep i get what ur saying.. but i believe if someo ne is good enough for test cricket he is ognna destroy ranji sides :two_thumbs_up: yadav did, zack did ,bhajji did`when he got into team...
not always the case. Yadav still needs to find his natural length. Its either too short or too full. He beat alot of ranji batsmen on pure pace. We are struggling to find pacemen that consistently hit the 5-6m length outside off. But on low bouncing Indian pitches anyone who bowls that length unless they get swing are just offering a half volley. Its a skill they won't pick up playing years of ranji. After 4 or 5 years of bowling one length that becomes natural and its hard to consistently hit a different length without dropping your pace

it does..
 Aaron has played one test and took 3 1st innings wickets and 2nd innings spinners cleaned up wi.

lol now that is different discussion but it proves if some one is good he will always be able to clean up domestic sides!

What? How did it prove that? I am saying that the natural length required to take wickets on most pitches outside India isn't a length that bowlers at Ranji can afford to bowl unless they are big swingers of the ball.

Even Yadav did not look much threatenining in his first test match in Delhi. There was nothing in the pitch for him. He started well by beating the batsmen on seveal occasions without getting any edge but as soon as ball got some reverse he got 3 wickets.

He does look promising,He can reverse it well which is handy in sc conditions in test matches and he did well in wi test .His odi performances have been better but he has things which can be worked on like consistency .

every bowler has different natural length u always have to adapt on every pitch...and even on flat indian roads u can only be good as fast bowler if u keep it full and reverse swing ishant did not play much ranji yet he has length issues.. how did that happen ?

.On indian pitches you have to bowl good length with new ball and get full when the ball reverses.Ishant has a good record in india .In away conditions you have to be full with the new ball which he tried but as he had lost his wrist position they were up and down and got hammered,so he had no option but be a containing bowler and bowl back of length.

Yep agreed but with Ranji trophy there isn't enough of a range of pitches to allow bowlers to adapt at domestic level, so I feel they get into bad habits and fall into containing mode. Ishant's problems happened primarly started during mid 2009 and I believe were more due to a poor wrist position, which was lost through constantly changing formats. He lost confidence when batsmen started really attacking him. It was less to do with the pitches. However I feel since England 2011, Ishant has turned a corner in terms of his release and wrist position. He still has a long way to go and I think would benefit greatly from playing a season of county cricket rather than Ranji Trophy.

It may be a factor but ishant is on record saying he tried to copy zaks wrist position to swing it more.

rkt yadav way erratic but stil he showed he can swing the ball also aaron is very young he will get his chance again and im sure his performance in ranji will improve too

Difference is Aaron is more accurate, Yadav still can be more wayward in terms of his length too short or too full and both have similar pace.

Yeah he tried to copy Zaheer's action but that was probably a sign of immaturity. Ishant is 6"5 and is better off looking at McGrath's release and wrist position and how McGrath was able to hit a good length with the seam upright consistently. Zaheer is a different type of bowler. He's a pure swing bowler whereas Ishant is a seam bowler.

well this year there have been good tracks and many young bowlers are impressing actually i think this new selection panel is doing good job with bowling rewarding guys like bhuv kumar and shami about ishant untill he changes his attitude abt his performance and stop blaming his luck he is never going to improve and in england he bowled better then before but clearly it was not good enough ..they day he starts bowling bit fuller and attack the stumps more the iwll be 2 x effective all i wanna know is u blame ranji for bowlers having bad lengths and habits but why is ishant like this ? i think length can be easily worked on with coaches australian bowlers all of them try to bowl bit fuller and they are getting the rewards and htis started happening after they appointed new coach..

You need to be able to move the ball to bowl a full length.Which ishant could not but now he has sorted it so you will see results.

What? Aaron gets reverse swing. If you want to see the reverse, watch this. Watch the last 2 dismissals. Last ball was a peach, swung away and it was reverse. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efdlkcTt3Mc]Varun Aaron's 3 Wickets Haul in Debut!! 720P - YouTube[/ame]
